Just pointing out that the Mind Link is limited to one person at a time and you need to see each other within range (10 ft at the moment).
Mind Link: (...)To use this ability, the creature must be able to see you and must be within this trait’s range. You can give this ability to only one creature at a time; giving it to a creature takes it away from another creature who has it.
Correction: Jamesgives the ability to each of them one at a time, giving them time to respond before moving to the next person. (Sorry DM, will try to read better in the future :P)
Kravek quickly jolts up as he hears James's voice in his head. What the...he thinks/replies ashe looks at James. That is some strange magic. he continues to speak aloud
It might prove to be usefull, are you sure that it is not sentient? Who knows what curses are placed on these gems.
Kravek will sit back down. Taking his watch if needed, making sure not only a kobold is awake.
“Kravek do you want to forge ahead when we are getting close to let them know? James let’s get this thing loaded on your sled to haul into Termalaine. Trek, are you ready? We will head into town and we will introduce you to Speaker Mashtew and you can explain what happened, we can show them that we killed the monster here that was picking off the miners. Let’s take down that “Kobolds only” sign out front, shall we?”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kravek nods to James, Yes i can move ahead and let the town know we will arrive with some kobolds.
That said Kravek will gather his things and moves into the cold air once more moving towards the town again.
When hes out he looks around and back to see if he spots the others following him. Meanwhile he will take a piece of owlbear jerky from under his coat as a small snack on the road.
Kravek, you return first to the village. ( takeing that part to PM)
The rest of you, you load up and secure James dog sled with the creatures. The Kobolds are wrapped up in furs and carrying large bundles with their belongings. You follow Kraveks tracks and hike through the freshly fallen snow back to the village. After half an hour you reach the village, where already two persons in thick cloaks , bearing the coat of arms of Termalaine, and armed with spears are already waiting for you. One of them is raising his bullseye lantern to see you better in the twilight and hails you.
”Heya lad! Getting a little dark to be having Humans on patrol isn’tit! Hahaha, I hope you got some hood strong Dwarves coming to back you up soon! Anywho, we’re back from the mines, just cleared the whole thing out! There was a nasty monster, and these twerps who want to seek asylum. Do as ye wish with them, we agreed to get ‘em here so our jobs done. I’d like to speak to Speaker Mashrew and get meself paid, fed and drunk!” Gilgin shows of his Geode with pride as he discusses the mine as proof of his conquest. Laughing and jesting with the watchmen, he’s in high spirits.
Jamespulls the sled up and waves to the two watchmen, letting his companions do the initial talking.
At Gilgin's remarks about the kobolds, Jamesmoves over to be within 10ft of Trex.
"Don't worry about Gilginswords, I will not leave you and yours to fend for yourselves. I will make sure the Speakeris informed of your help with the creature."
Jamesextends his Mind Link to Trex, in case he desires to respond, silently.
The two militia point their lights at the bundled up corpse on the sledge and the pack of small creatures following you.
„I assume you are the adventures that were hired to look into the mine? I am Sedar and this is Dran. We were told to expect you, but we were not informed that you would bring guests?. I hope you understand that we are only cautious but would you follow us to the barracks please, Captain Vanja needs to be briefed. We have a warm fire and plenty of space there and your guests can wait there until everything is cleared with speaker Masthew.“
Hifu steps up and says “Good morrow Sedar and Dran. I know this gathering is an odd lot this cold morning but we do have a story to tell Captain Vanja and Speaker Mashtew.. We were under the impression when we went to the mine that the kobolds were the problem there, but they were displaced from their home by a huge snowy monster in the mountain, they were merely looking for shelter. This creature on the sled was in the mine, a floating brain with tentacles and a beak was hiding in the dark and picking off miners one by one. Their leader, Trek, has been straightforward with us and helped us to kill the monster. He and his clan wishes only to have shelter from the worsening winter. He proposes to help Termalaine in return, perhaps live on the periphery of the village here, hunt in the woods, etc. He would like to make this proposal to Speaker Mashtew. We can vouch for him in this plea. Trek do you have anything to add?”

the second guard is lifting his hand to stop him there: „If i may interrupt you please, we are just the guards, it doesn‘t matter much what we think, the Captain is making the decisions. May i suggest we get out of the cold and you can discuss it with her?“

Nyx says, "I'll take a deeper look into this during my watch."
And she will try to attune to it during the watch.
James nods,
"Yeah, if we can both speak telepathically, we should have good communications options."
James gets himself settled in to sleep, while others take the first few watches, waking to take his watch when it is his turn.

After an uneventful night you are all rested. You may notice that Nyx seams to be glowing in the light of the torches.
Everyone gets a long rest. Between Hifu, James and Kravek please mark of 6 torches ( 2 each) in total for yesterday and last night.
.
Nyx offers to warm up some of the leftovers from the previous night, but otherwise is ready to go.
She will definitely clean up after everyone - no need for more giant rats to move in here looking for scraps.
During this she will play with the telepathy thing as well between the members of her own group.
After that, out loud she says, "One of you should probably go ahead and let the town guard know we'll be coming in with some kobolds."
“Kravek do you want to forge ahead when we are getting close to let them know? James let’s get this thing loaded on your sled to haul into Termalaine. Trek, are you ready? Gilgin travels with the Kobolds, keeping close to Nyx.
“Feeling anything from that Crystal li’llun? I think this is a sign, good things are come our way, believe you me!” He raves

Nyx says telepathically to Gilgin, "BOO! I can do that stuff now as well! You can even reply to me!"
James nods to Hifu and helps drag the monsters corpse out of the mine.
Once outside, James tends to his dogs and the sled, checking everyone over and getting the sled and the dogs out of the small barn.
"Lets load the corpse on and get back to town."
James and Hifu load the corpse onto the sled and they head off with everyone else, following Kravek back to town.
