”Blasting or throwing something in there will more likely hurt us than the blades. With balance, one can make it through to the door.”
Cico closes his eyes for a moment, slowly running in his mind through all the blades he just saw and the route necessary to take. He then opens his eyes and takes a deep breath.
He steps into the room, staying to the route he observed, using his agility to weave his body through. He considered for a moment racing through at a sprint but he decides the dance with the machinery needs precision not speed.
Cico reaches the other side gracefully, dodging and weaving through the blades. It would seem to his onlooking companions that this is not his first time in such a situation. The door at the end swings open to reveal a plain marble dome shaped room. The only feature is a 3ft high marble pedestal with a fluted column with a plush red pillow sitting atop it.
Cico diligently inspects the pedestal for traps. Pressure plate under the pillow? Trap door? Poisonous resin on the coin? No, It all checks out just fine. He’s absolutely certain there are no traps.
Cico turns the coin over in his fingers. It seems like one of the copper pieces they call ‘nibs’ in this city, though the eagle symbol is slightly different to those you’ve seen. Words around the edge read “Minted in 1364 DR, golden anniversary of the reign of Lord Piergeiron the Paladinson”
As he looks it over, he hears a drab voice from the pedestal. “Congrations” the sarcastic praise comes from a mouth in the marble itself, disappearing immediately after.
You all hear a click, as the blades in the hallway come to a halt.
You pass carefully through the junk room, tracing your previous path. Through the silver door you notice all of the silver balls that fell at you seem to have gone. After getting back through the spikepit you get back outside into the alley and pass the skeleton statuette and secret door you couldn’t get into. You cross the mural predicting your horrid deaths, from which Aimee found the secret message. To your left past the invisible wall is the stump of the podium with the exploding book.
Following the left fork, you find again the ivory door leading to a building behind the mural. It’s artwork depicting many carnivorous animals feasting on their prey. Some small steps lead up to an ordinary wooden door to the north with the alley continuing to the left and then right again before it.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Aimee claps excitedly for Cico's heroics and follows along behind the group, close to Lyss, smile back to its normal glory.
She looks at the door too.
Perception on the door: 14
"They really found some good artists to work here! I mean they were a little bit off, but still!"
She thinks about what Cico asks and responds,
"Did Mr. Mirt even know that the thing was gone yet? Whoever made this place seems to like to have a lot of guests, based on the blood and stuff! Maybe they just try and cast a wide net to bring in more people?"
She thinks a little more,
"Plus Mr. Mirt said he was good at stuff so this might have been easy for him!"
Cico shakes his head at the idea of blasting.

Acrobatics? 20
For a moment, the machine and Cico are at one with one another. He's able to make it halfway through, weaving between the blades.
(Need one check per round of movement, so one more. Technically a Dex save but same bonus)
Gilgin Hardhammer - Mountain Dwarf Cleric (Forge Domain) - Icewind Dale
Petal - Forest Gnome Druid (Circle of the Land - Forest) - Unsung Heroes of Embera
(Any chance this counts as avoiding a trap so Cico has advantage on the roll?)
Cico Dex Save: 22 and again if advantage from avoiding traps applies: 23

Cico looks around the room for any sort of control panel that would shut off the whirling blades in the hallway.
Perception: 12
If he finds anything, he'll activate it to make it safe for the others to join him.
Then he will move over to the pedestal and look more closely at the pillow and the column underneath it.
There doesn’t seem to be any sort of panel, just smooth marble walls. Nestled in the centre of the pillow is a single copper piece.

Cico calls back down the hallway.
"No sign of anything to turn off the blades," Cico says. "There is a coin on a pillow. I can't tell what denomination without picking it up."
He looks more closely at the pedestal and pillow for traps.

Cico looks down at the coin in his hand and listens to the echo of the single word around the room.
He goes over to the door to the blade tunnel.
"The pedestal offered congratulations for this coin," he says holding the coin up. "Also appears to have turned off the blades."
He moves quickly back down the hallway to join the others.
"If everything wasn't so deadly this might be an entertaining amusement ground." Cico says. "Now, back to the first fork in the path?"
"Good job, Cico! You were GREAT!", Lyss crows.

Cico looks closely at the ivory door, assuming now that everything is a potentially lethal trap or vessel for the undead.
"Why would someone want to lure Mirt here?" Cico asks as he examines the door. "Do they want him dead?"
