As the invaders continue advancing towards the walls, Ereina once again releases the power built up inside her. The energy leaps forth from her had toward the same yuan-ti, hoping this time to take it down.
The four of you line up your barrage once again. The ladder group gets to about 60 feet before you’re all ready to fire once again. The mounted crossbow shoots first just like last time. 20.
The mounted crossbow’s bolt smashes the chest of one of the barbarians. You’re all graced with the sickening display of blood splattering and gore spilling out from the snake man. Your attacks follow suit, everyone’s attack but dek’s seems to hit. Ereina the one you attacked last time seems to be standing just fine even after getting hit again. Thalion and Gideon your bolt and arrow pepper the one you both had previously shot before. It falls to the ground. 10 barbarians remain. As they get closer, the group lowers the ladder. The barbarians on the left side of the group reach for something across the ladder they’ve now lowered. They pull, revealing the ladder to be a double set. Everyone roll insight checks.
Dek with the revelation that these ladders are a double set, its fairly obvious that the barbarians are going to be able to reach the walls faster when a pair can climb at the same time. Arson you think the same as Dek but, you also realize that these ladders would be insanely heavy, you're not even sure how they made it here this quick carrying something that heavy. You also know that it would require ridiculous amounts of strength to push these ladders off once they're situated.
Dek It's your turn. Afterwards, Ereina you can go.
As the realization hits, Dek drops his crossbow and instead draws his rapier to meet the yuan-ti that would soon be upon them. He shouts to his companions, "Ladders too heavy! Can't push. If have oil, you pour. If not get ready fight!"
Ready action to attack the first enemy that comes into melee range.
Rapier Attack: 15 Damage:9

Gideon nods. He, of course, had known the ladders would be too heavy for any one person to push, but then he was a trained soldier and had been on both sides of sieges in the past. Without a team with long poles to push back on both sides, it would be burning and breaking or killing. And he'd forgotten about the burning.
Pulling out a couple flasks of oil, he got ready to pour. "Keep that fire handy so we can light these two ladders."
We are in initiative I'd like to go in turns. For this moment I'm only considering Dek's movement, then Ereina's. Then the ladder group will go. Gideon if you want to keep that, that would be your action for your turn.

ooc: Sorry...I forgot we'd rolled initiative. I'm not sure if I want to keep that. I would need to know how close the attackers are to raising the ladders. Pulling out the oil & pouring it over the ladders would be a single action so no need to do that early.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(OOC Sorry, for some reason I thought we were still waiting on Dek)
Ereina watches as the Yuan-Ti rush toward the base of the walls. Gesturing toward the crew carrying the ladder, she once again calls on the will of the hexblade which inhabits her, sending forth energy to try and take out the lead figure.
Eldritch Blast: Attack: 18 Damage: 10
(OOC - Reading through again we still may be :s - my action is not dependant on him though)
