Morgan:

"That is actually not a bad idea, Leareth.  It could count as an attack and rouse it to action, or it could stick and give us warning," replies Morgan, grabbing handfuls of whatever small rocks could be found as they are led through the cave towards their destination.

Panana guides you all to the wine room. This room contains twelve forty-gallon barrels set into wide alcoves. Each barrel is secured by a wooden brace. The barrels in the south alcove have been tapped with wooden spigots. 4 barrels rest in each alcove.

OOC - I'm really sorry I've been missing. Working a large project IRL. Should free up sometime this weekend. If you haven't killed Gale by then I'll try to come up with some reason he was lagging behind.

Morgan:

"Well, here goes nothing," says Morgan.  With his shield at the ready, Morgan starts chucking pebbles at each barrel and seeing if they stick.  He looks for any other objects big enough to be a mimic in disguise and pings them too.

Morgan, as you start chucking pebbles, 7 of them just bounce off the barrels. However as you chuck your pebbles at the 8th barrel, it doesn't stick, but you notice it move a smidge. Not enough to move from it's space, but it appears to squirm for half a second.

Morgan:

“That’s the one,” says Morgan, stepping up before the others and preparing to defend himself.  “I’ll try to block it and you guys unload on it!” he adds.

OOC:  Dropping the rest of the pebbles, stepping up a bit and drawing his mace, and using the dodge action.

 OOC:  Right, not planning to get in melee with it, just stepping forward so if it comes at us it will get to Morgan first.

Leareth, Gale and Geralt can all do their turns in succession. The mimic has yet to come out of it's barrel form, but you have a good idea which one it is based on Morgans' call out.

Leareth quickly performed the gesture of a hex and fired his crossbow at the "barrel".

OOC:  Any response from Gale?  It has been almost 2 weeks since he has posted...

I have not gotten any response from Gale.... And with too little people to continue, we might have to end it. I'll give it to the end of the week, and if I don't hear anything, we'll have to end the campaign. I'm sorry everyone.

OOC:  Not your fault.  I found it an interesting concept with a lot of potential...especially because I have a cleric who has yet to figure out he can cast spells.  If you are really keen to keep this going, you could open up recruitment again.

If I continue, I might switch it to Discord. But I'll wait to see how things go.

Here's an idea, what if we switched to Discord and then scheduled times when we'd be all online and play in real time? Is that doable?

I have a pretty busy schedule and play my online PBP in the books and crannies of downtime, so a scheduled game would not work for me....sorry.
