Edge waits outside, feeling the sunshine on this white and black fur, his eyes almost completely closed as he enjoys the warmth of the summer morning after the rain of the night before. He looks towards the docks but decides to wait for the others to finish up inside before heading down.
Eve eventually catches up with everyone at the blacksmiths. She sees Edge outside, and lingers with him, until everyone’s ready to move on towards the dock together.
”Hi there!”, she says to Edge. ”How’s everyone getting on inside? Everyone get what they need?... ...What a difference a day makes, eh? And a good night’s rest! You think you and Kanithar will bunk down at the Mayors place again tonight? Or will we all be at the Inn?..... Strange all this stuff with the footprints in Senna’s room. So odd...”.
((Eve is happy to chat, and will gladly while away the time while the others are finishing off. But when the time comes, she’s ready to move on))
Kaseon eventually rejoins the others, “That foot print still concerns me as well. Could it be related to the mystery illness? Maybe its a creature causing it rather than a disease. Did anyone see anything last night that could have left a print like that?”
“Oh yes! Oh no!...” says Eve to Edge, her face losing some of her normal enthusiasm. “I hadn’t thought about how the Inn would run without Penn... I hope they’re still open. We better check before this evening”.
Then to Kaseon, “It’s so strange, the footprint... I wonder what they were after?!”.
Garcis watches the gnome but nods as he reaches into the pack, ushering the gnome off to the side. "I have something in need of repair. It is a weapon but it is one of a kind as far as I am aware. I have the basic knowledge on how to repair it but lack the tools and skills."
Senna: Although Krellix is busy at the moment talking to Garcis to the side, Jander thinks for a moment, "I've known Vergut for a while now, but I didn't see him much that day. I know he was on duty all morning. A few hours after noon he came by and spoke for a bit before going home to take a little nap before we all gathered in the tavern that night. He didn't seem sick to me at the time. He never made it though, someone found him passed out in the street after they left the tavern, looks like he had been on his way to join us before falling out."
Kanithar: Jander looks back to you when you ask about a warhammer, "Hmmm, let me check, I haven't made a warhammer in a while to be honest." He steps into the building next to the forge and looks around for a minute before coming back out with a long wooden handle reinforced with iron and topped by what looks like on one side to be the head of a hammer and a curved spike on the other side. "I have this War Pick if you are interested? Normally five gold, but I can go down to two if you want it. Greatswords are the main thing being ordered lately with the war going on. The berserkers prefer them over anything else."
Garcis: The gnome looks at the weapon with much curiosity in his eyes and ushers you into a door separate from Jander's. From everything you could see on that side, things had been tidy and organized. This section however was a jumbled mess. Not dirty or anything, just in disarray for the most part. Krellix pushes some items on a table in the center of the room off into a bucket and places a clean cloth down, taking the weapon and sitting it down to analyze from each and every angle. "This is most extrordinary my friend, I've never seen such a thing, but i can see the workings." He points to a specific spot and says, "This is one of the issues right here, there is a jam.... and here is another! Was it dropped repeatedly? Would you be ok with leaving it for the night? I might be able to tinker with it and help you fix it and understand it more. What do you say? I won't show it to anyone else. Gnomish promises are never broken."
Senna listens to Janders response and repeats some of his words to herself After he went for a nap..
Have there been any reports of burglaries lately that you know of?
After hearing his reply Senna turns to the others, If the guard got sick after sleeping and Penn most likely got sick during the night or in his Inn it all points to the footprint. Whatever made it could be causing this illness when someone sleeps.
She walks towards the doorway looking out to the buildings. Edge, are you good at climbing? Perhaps you could check the outside of my room. We need to know if the creature got in through the window or roof
she pauzes a moment.
Or if its somewhere inside the Inn .. he looks downward not really happy to hear her own words, a disturbing idea that they might of walked right past who or whatever causes this while staying in the inn.
"I see although I have also been told that most kobolds do not trust or even tolerate gnomes. Though I have not met another of my kind to confer on this with so I shall intrust you with for now. It has worked in the past so I should be able to tell if it is fixed." Garcis says as he hands over the strange device to the gnome somewhat cautiously.
As people start drifting out of the blacksmiths, as they each finish, Eve will start to ask whether their next stop is the dock or someplace else. “Do we want to check out the docks now, or Senna’s room, or where now?...”.
Kaseon shrugs, "I'll follow wherever we need to go, and we could always split up, a small group might let people talk more freely than six of us staring at them intently. But I definitely don't think anyone should be alone any time soon."
Turning to Kanithar, "I doubt it was, if it had been, it'd probably have attacked us then and there, it didn't seem the patient type. But it might be related to the disease and the footprints."
”If not same wereboar then another. One all fight have eyes glow red too.” Edge says. “Someone clean footprints. Edge not think wereboar stop to mop floor.”
He hitches up his pack, adjusts his bow, and moves his remaining dagger to an easier spot to retrieve if needed.
”Docks and fish boats right there. Edge think quick check. Maybe find something.”
Eve stands ready, and nods to Edge, “I wouldn’t mind seeing the docks.... Does anyone have anything else they want to do? Or should we head that way, and take a look around?”.

Edge watches Eve while she speaks. This one is still a child he thinks to himself.
"Edge stay at inn tonight," he says then pauses. "If inn still open now friend Penn sick."
He nods to Kaeson as he joins them.
"Not enough print to tell. Need more. Trap set maybe."

Kanithar:
(OOC: You can do it unless you prefer me to. I usually do the HP changes while figuring out combat since it's easier that way.) :)

(I tried to check, but may have missed it, did whoever saw those glowing red eyes outside the inn ever tell everyone?)
((ooh yes! It was post #113, and it was Kanithar and Edge who noticed... but I don’t think they mentioned it... (yet) ;-) ))
