"...Debts must always be paid, sometimes in more than blood and gold. But this is Ordo Ursa," Ren places his hand on Erakas's chest, right where the Dragonborn's heart is. "Right here. And it always has been and always will be. Don't ever forget that. Because I won't."
Serandis Mendaen (Aereni Elven Rogue/maybe one day Wizard)- Project Point Playtest
As Brugo rolls away from the group, his roll is amazing, but he lands on a dead branch, which makes a loud CRACK - drawing the goblins nearer to your group.
Cedrik firebolts the goblin furthest away, but he's just far enough that he can see it coming and, like a gross little ballerina, tip-toes to the side, dodging it, then adding a faint sigh of relief. An eldritch blast lobs overhead, and the goblins, for a small moment, wonder who that was supposed to be aimed at.
The two goblins, swinging scimitars, run towards you guys.

OOC: sorry for the delay!
Hardi, seizing the advantage, charges in to take a swing on the closest goblin! He grips his warhammer tight in one hand and raises his shield as he bears down on the creature.
Kyle's arrow thunks hard into one of the goblins, his charging partner startled by the force of it. He was going to ask if he was ok, but a warhammer from a hooman with a shield caused the arrow stricken goblin's head to explode like a ripe melon from the force of the blow, leaving one lone goblin left, with blood and viscera dripping down his face.
Panicking, the goblin pulls out a rams horn and takes in a huge breath...
With a sickening crunch, the hand axe homes in on the goblin, ending whatever career and aspirations he had as a budding anthropologist.
There is no more movement after that, and the mouth of the cave beckons.
On the east side of the stream flowing from the cave mouth, a small area in the briar thickets has been hollowed out to form a lookout post or blind. This is the area the two goblin reinforcements came from. Wooden planks flatten out the briars and provide room for guards to lie hidden and watch the area, but the area is now empty.
If you chose to enter the cave, I will provide a description, and where you can go inside, specifically.
"Oh now there's some handy ax action, eh?"He gives a nod of approval as he casually wipes away the gore from his hammer on one of the fallen goblins. He finishes by rinsing it off in the stream flowing from the mouth of the cave. "So, uh, Coryn, yeah? You said somethin' about a fella what's been nabbed by these goblins, eh? What's he look like? Got a name?"
Coryn watched as his attack flew, completely off target, and missed his target. 'Huh, that didn't really work well', he thought to himself, taking in the scene. He might have missed, but the others seemed to fair better than he did. Good, he was not wanting to get captured by those monsters again. He wasn't to sure what goblins did with captives, but he had to assume it wasn't anything good.
"Oh, yeah, his name is Gundren. Dwarf, about yay high. Can drink like there's no tomorrow." The Half-Elf stated, raising his arm to about waist high.
"And while I'm not positive, I think he's probably in there" He said, pointing his shield towards the mouth of the cave. When they had been ambushed, he had been more focused on survival than keeping track of Gundren. However, he didn't remember seeing a Dwarven body laying around, and logic said odds are Gundren had been dragged to where his own goblin captors were taking him.
Hardi gives a grim scowl. "I know ol' Gundren. Taught me to speak Dwarvish, ya know! So those were his and Sildar's horses back there, eh?" He looks back to the others "Oh this ain't good, fellas..." With a heavy sigh he nods to Coryn again and lifts his hammer to rest on his shoulder. "In we go, eh?" Hardi slaps Light on his hammer and trundles into the cave.

"Wait, you know Gundren also? " Coryn asked, tilting his head to the side. Gundren had mentioned something about hiring a group of people to bring goods from one place to another, but he didn't expect them to be this capable. The Dwarf had a way about him, there was no doubt about that, and it seemed it paid off. If anyone was going to be able to save him, these guys seemed like the ones to do it.
Coryn waited about ten seconds, and then ducked low while slowly following after the Cleric. There was most likely more trouble ahead, and he would rather surprise said trouble than be standing to close to the Human's beacon.
Hardi lowers his voice just a bit. "Oh yeah, I know Gundren. I think we all do, ya know? He hired us to bring a bunch of his stuff over to Phandalin. Looks like we'll have to bring'em back with us now, eh?"

Kriv retrieves his axe from the goblin "hehe, handy axe, good one." He cleans his axe and returns it to its place on his back. "Into the darkness we go."
The cave entrance is very dark, and it's almost nighttime outside.
As you guys approach the mouth of the cave, and enter it, the stream leads in the cave and beyond. To your right, after a few cautious steps - you see a few uneven stone steps that lead up to a small, dank chamber on the east side of the passage. The cave narrows to a steep fissure at the far end, and is filled with the stench of animals. Savage snarls and the sounds of rattling chains greet your ears where two wolves are chained up just inside the opening about 10 feet away. Each wolf's chain leads to an iron rod driven in the base of a stalagmite.
You can either interact in this chamber you see on your right, or press on forward deeper in the cave.

OOC: Hey DM, Are we still doing the surprise round or do we fall into initiative?
This is still the surprise round. I'm hoping the monk will take it out so I can move the story forward =P
OOC: I'm just itchin' to crack more gerblin skulls!
LOL "Gerblin". Don't worry. Soon. =P
