Hardi just looks back "Now I don't know about you, friend, but I can't see in the dark. No sense in me trippin' over a rock and breakin' my neck before we get to the goblins, eh?" With that, he moves on into the cave. He perks up at the sounds of dogs..no...wolves. "I'm in with Kyle. It'll be best to leave'em for now, eh? The pups aren't doin' anyone any harm for now. ya know?"
"Or, they're, ya know guard dogs. And by not offing them they will let whatever is in this cave know we're here." Coryn whispered, nodding his head towards the beasts. His family used dogs as lookouts quite often when he was growing up, and all it took was a good sniff and they could be alerted. His right hand slipped into his coat, fingers curled around the orb he had fired an Eldritch Blast from before. He wasn't going to go against the people that saved him, but wanted to be ready in case he was correct.

Hardi really didn't want to harm the wolves, but far be it from him to deny anyone a good gout of light! "Alright alright, buddy. Here ya go!" He steps up and raises his hammer, providing light. Since he's there, Hardi will also look to see what's there.
While Hardi provides light, as you guys discuss what to do, the wolves seem to be getting more agitated.
The perception result shows you that this area looks and smells like a kennel - and at the opposite side of the cave wall is a fissure like hole that leads to another area, so it seems.
Hardi looks to the others, slinking back down the steps. "Just the pups up there. There's some sorta large crack that leads up I think. Whatcha guys want to do?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Hmmm. Think we could climb up the crack to see what's on the other side? Ya know, without having the wolves get a chunk out of us?" Coryn asked, giving a look through the room. He had to admit, the light was pretty helpful. While his Elven blood made it so he could see in the dark, the lack of colors in pure darkness did get annoying.
The fissure opening on the other side of the cave room appears to lead up...but the wolves have enough chain attached to them that there is no way to get across to the other side without getting chomped.
You can either engage the wolves and explore the fissure, or leave the kennel and continue up deeper into the cave onto the next area.
"Because from what I see, if we want to check that fissure, we will need to fight off those wolves... And I recommend we check the crack, since the wolves must be guarding it for some reason" He voiced, slowly pulling the arcane orb from his pocket. He wasn't one to usually fight defenseless animals, but he wanted to get Gundren back more than he cared about the lives of feral animals. If they were off their chains, odds are they would be aiming for his throat, so it was only fair.
Don't engage them just yet, i say venture ahead, to me the way forward is more likely to have something important and if we turn our back to it we invite an ambush from our behind. On top of that combat is loud and we will alert those ahead.
"Oh geez....I don't know if I could climb that, ya know?" He scratches his head a moment and thinks. "Plus we don't even know how far up it goes! A fall from too big a height could leave ya with a real doozy of pain...or worse" Hardi grimaced at the thought.
"We could always feed the dogs?" Brugo says as he looks at the goblinoid bodies on the ground. "Yes, going around might be safer. Grunden is our concern. We must do what we can to get to him and rescue him if needed, Gods willing."

"...Debts must always be paid, sometimes in more than blood and gold. But this is Ordo Ursa," Ren places his hand on Erakas's chest, right where the Dragonborn's heart is. "Right here. And it always has been and always will be. Don't ever forget that. Because I won't."

Hardi's grimace deepens at the thought of the wolves tearing away at the little goblin bodies. "Eesh...kinda gruesome there, fella. Better'n killin' em I suppose...better than it bein' us too!"
"It's an option. I'd much rather go around and find another way in. Goblins aren't the smartest creatures but I'm sure they have a back door. And if not, then..." Brugo looks at the goblinoid bodies again and this time he grimaces as well.

Hardi thinks for a moment "Oh, well I think the gave goes on further down past this li'l alcove, eh? I mean, the stream goes further in, ya know?"He steps back down to the path alongside the stream to investigate further.
"Alright, fine, you guys win. But if those things start barking, and we get surrounded, you owe me a drink" Coryn voiced, shrugging as he talked. He slid his arcane focus back into his pocket, waiting about eight seconds before he followed after Hardi. He still didn't want to be the one seen by anything that might attack them, and the Cleric seemed like he could take a stab or two better than Coryn could.
"I hate cramped spaces, caves are the worst for getting ambushed. Great if you're the ones ambushing. Filthy goblinoids." Kriv readies his battle axe in case the goblins are smart. "I hate cramped spaces." He looks very uncomfortable with the current situation, drumming his finger rhythmically against the haft of his axe nervously.

Leave them be they are not why we are here. We must press forward and find Gundren, and unnecessary combat will not aid that mission.

Well, then someone light it up and we'll see what's in there
Assuming someone does shine light in the small cave Kyle makes a quick examination of the room.

OOC: By the way, did we get any experience from downing all those goblins at the mouth of the cave?
