The most obvious things you saw were the statues, since they were easily viewable from just a few feet within the entrance of each room. Thinking back to the ruins by Feycrest, you don't really think there's any similarities in style to the architecture there.
Checking out the park around you, you're mostly alone for the time being. A younger couple is currently walking the dirt path that encircles the entire area, but they're at the opposite end from you right now(at least 300ft away). This is a fairly decent sized area, over 2 acres of greenery. There's some blue roofed gazebos spread throughout, sparsely planted trees and bushes, and the trail that runs the length around.
It's enclosed by other buildings in a vaguely rectangular shape, and you can see some of these homes are lit from the inside.
"I'm not sure. I don't think I've ever been fooled before." Kal says, briefly tracking the couple as they walk through the park. He stops as he realizes there's almost no chance they were here for them, shaking his head. They didn't. I imagine they figured I was eaten by a bear or some similar fate. Do you know of any magic that could let someone mask their aura? Like someone pretending to be celestial or undead? If Syl is able to answer his question about the aura, he passes the info onto Silthras.
After giving it some thought for a moment, trying to bring up old knowledge, Sylnora replies, 'It's possible, I haven't personally seen it before but it's something I've read about. Are you ever going to go back and see your family?''
Silthras nods at the information. "Seems like a stretch, even for me: Our enemies do not like them, and everything else points to them being rather more trustworthy than they seemed at first."
Kal tries to remember a time when the wizard was ever this chatty, but fails to do so. "You do have a habit of preparing for the worst. But it's not a bad thing, will probably end up saving our lives at some point."
After watching the park for a few minutes, he responds to Sylnora again.No. That would be complicated. Have you always asked this many questions?

((a damn lot to catch up on...gonna summarize actions...))
Usul would be glad to sneak around the house while the alarm spells are being set up, though would break in the traditional way, trying to pick the lock in the front (being sure to lock it again of course). Then he could also keep Syl company so she didn't need to talk to herself. He would also look around for things that might be of interest to a thieving group, or himself, though wouldn't take anything yet.
some rolls then we can just get us all together: stealth: 15 thieves' tools: 22 investigation looking around while the alarms were being set: 28
Mid-spell Sylnora straightens, slightly embarrassed by the call out.. 'I talk a lot when I'm nervous.' She goes in silence for a couple minutes before reaching out again. 'What was growing up in the order like then?'
The shadows aren't quite in Usul's favor as he tries to creep about to the front of the home facing the street. There's no one walking about right now, but he doesn't feel very hidden. He goes to work on unlocking the door, but finds the lock resisting his efforts to crack it.
Currently working on the foyer, where Usul would be trying to come in to. Sylnora would easily be able to hear him trying to come through the door. After looking out the window to see it was him, it's easy to unlock the door and let him in. As he locks it, she returns to her spell casting. Over the next hour while Syl continues to ritual cast Alarm, the gnome sets to work doing a thorough investigation of the house's contents.
Areas 1 - Usul looks underneath every single sheet, finding painted bronze statues underneath each one. They seem to be random things, depictions of angels, or warriors, or just regular people. They definitely aren't anything like what you found in the ruins. 2 - There's nothing too interesting in here. Some food stuffs, plates, kitchenware, wine, and a keg of ale. A nice chandelier hangs above the table, though it's currently unlit. 3 - The foyer certainly seems to have the most out of all the rooms. There are bookshelves nearly everywhere in the room, containing tomes on historical discussions, archaeological discoveries, and things of that nature. None of the titles stand out as being related to the Watchers. A few on ruins relating to the Starlight Court, but that's to be expected. A pair of unpainted bronze statues stand at the front of the room, more detailed than the ones you found in Area 1, but still nothing you've really seen before. In the center of the room is an octagonal stone stand, holding a brass globe that shows an unfinished map of Ravere. It's flanked by two marble tables, each holding a smooth black sphere and two empty bowls carved out of polished malachite. There are locked display cases all over the room:
One contains two tomes, the covers embroidered with fantastical depictions of dragons.
Another contains an iron staff, with a bright blue crystal on the top. This case also contains a thinner than normal longsword.
There is another display with weapons in it, though you can see evidence of corrosion and rust from age on them.
A bronze shield is contained in another.
Two large scrolls of yellowed parchment.
The rest contain an assortment of crystals, geodes, carved stones, pottery, and statuettes.
Though all this stuff is really old and impressive, none of it invokes similarities with what you found in the Watcher ruins.
4 - It's a bathroom. It has a bath. 5 - The only bedroom in the house. There are two wardrobes in the room, in which you find clothes for both lady and man. There is another book case in here, with similar kinds of books that you've already seen. There are pieces of parchment littered across the hard surfaces of the room, though nothing that particularly catches your eye. Manifest orders from a ship, Loyal Example, detailing what appear to be items recovered from archaeological sites. There's correspondence with various scholars on the subject of history and archaeology. 6 - This appears to be a small workshop dedicated to stoneworking. You can see a broken open geode on the table, and the shelves in this room are filled with scrolls depicting different styles of cuts and some geological information. 7 - A storeroom. There's spare tools for stoneworking, as well as some brushes and picks that seem like they might be used for cleaning. The crates in here don't have the lids nailed down, so you can peak inside them quite easily. They're filled with literal jars of dirt. Different kinds of dirt. Seems like it's all come from different places. But it's a lot of dirt. 8 - This seems to be a study of some kind. You find yet more books in here. Those scattered on the desk seem to be focusing in on a particular area of history. It's recent history, the past 500 years or so, as the world's nations stabilized after the dark age that extended before. 9 - A showroom for certain, though unfinished by the look of things. Much like the foyer, there's bookshelves galore in here, with seating neatly arranged for convenient reading spots. The sculptures in here seem to be made of sandstone, and again don't remind you of the Watcher's ruins. The display cases in here are empty, but all have crates sitting near them. The crates themselves are secured by iron chains, with a heavy padlock keeping them wound tight.
In conclusion - as far as everything outside of the locked crates go, there's for certain nothing in here that's like what was found in the ruins outside Feycrest.
2 hours left to Alarm each window/door. Unless you're only doing the first floor.
Cold mostly. The keep where the order makes its home is even further north than here. There were some eccentricities that took getting used to, but I wouldn't say I hated it.Kal replies again, occasionally looking around the park to make sure they aren't being watched.
Sylnora is going to hit both of the doors and all of the windows just to be on the safe side. So as the first hour rolls over, she rolls up the sleeves of her tunic and keeps at the work. While persistently bugging Kal. Or Usul if he wanders too close.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As he follows Syl around and does his own investigations, Usul is just following, and since he can't really help with the spell, is happy to just chat. He always keeps Dib on his shoulder sniffing and listening around ((16)) just in case there is something not them that the little guy can notice.
((I assume Usul's thorough search will take about as much time an Sylnora's spells, minus time to chat quietly here and there. So we can put them on the same timer))
Over the next two hours, no one approaches the house. People come and go through the park that Silthras, Kal, and Velyra sit in, but the frequency of such encounters decreases as the night wears on. Sylnora is able to finish casting her Alarm spells on every threshold without interruption.
Now what's the plan?

She's definitely heard of a spell that can do that before, though she can't recall the exact mechanics of how it works and for how long.
After giving it some thought for a moment, trying to bring up old knowledge, Sylnora replies, 'It's possible, I haven't personally seen it before but it's something I've read about. Are you ever going to go back and see your family?''

Silthras blinks then stares at the knight for a moment, a slight frown creasing his forehead.
Eventually he draws a deep breath and looks away, scanning the park. "Expect the worst and hope for the best. Kind of a family motto."

If Sylnora is able to hear Usul trying to unlock the front door, she would interrupt her spell to go peak through the window then let him in.
