"Hey, I just voted to be the one to jump down into a nasty, cold wet hole, while you say up here nice and dry and tell Ess to pull on a rope harder, so don't be giving me that look, Ben! Just think of the platinum and gold trickling through your hands, and you'll perk right up."

Ash looks genuinely confused or stunned that Korrik sided with her. She side-mouths a whisper to Ben, like two naughty children that suddenly got ‘told’,“Oh damned! I honestly thought he’d say ‘door’! Oh shoot okay…”.
”Okay let’s do this!… want me to come with? Or go first? I already checked it, with the old… ‘pincer-and-rod technique’!…”, she says to Korrik.
Ben, when you take a peek into the cargo hold, up at the bow of the ship you noticed bodies of some sort. Floating in the water maybe? Definitely more than 2 bodies. Stuck up at the bow of the cargo hold.
Ash, the cargo hold is maybe 5-6 feet. The water goes up 3 feet. You can definitely stand in the water and breathe fine, as long as you're taller than 3 feet. :D
Ben, Ess responds "BALLLLIN BRO! HECK yeah let's DO this boys and Ashy!"
Ben, the door to the north is damaged and held shut by rusty iron spikes. You think it will need to be forced open, or smashed open. It cannot be picked as there's no lock on this door. With your roll, you can't determine the DC for the Athletics check required to force it, or the AC/HP of this door, you just know that it's not going to open easily.
Ess then says after the plan is changed to lower Korrik down instead "Oh... ok bros. I will be the anchor then."
(He might be fibbing a bit here, but most of the auras weren't abjuration right?) - > right.
Ok, so Korrik is being lowered down into the water to get the box, yes? And Ash is going down the ladder and dropping into the water with him? Ess will be holding the rope as an anchor for Korrik, right?
Ben, when you listen to the north door, you hear a very disturbing distinct crawling sound, like you get the feeling something is creeping around in there, like a thousand bugs or something.
You also hear the odd footstep as well.
Over to you!
P.S. Ess would've sided with Korrik and Ash. "Ben my bro. Maybe we should just get this box first my homie."
Ben would have noted the bodies for those going down.
To Ess,
"Yes Ess. Thank you Ess. Pile on with the rest of them Ess."
As he listens he says to Ess,
"I hear footsteps in there. What are the chances that is a person and not a disgusting spider monster? Let me know when it is pull time. I'll give you a hand."
Ash and Kay would also see the bodies at the bow of the ship once they get down there. Same description as Ben got. Feel free to roll perception check to see if you can spot anything more.
Whoever tries to pick up the box, please roll an Athletics check, with advantage due to help from the other person.
Ash goes down the steps into the water to the bottom of the ladder, hoping to keep a step or two ahead of Korrik. From the bottom of the ladder she looks around quietly and holds for Kay to catch up…
I forgot to answer a Ben question: Ben, there was another entrance/exit to the cargo hold you estimate about halfway in, although you don't get any other information about it since you didn't really go in the cargo hold.
Ash, you can't tell if the box is trapped. There's too much water. You do notice a stylized letter 'A' on the blue metal box that you see though.
Korrik makes sure that Ash has a rope tied around her too. He leaves his staff with Ben.

Stealth: 16
Korrik carefully swims towards the box, taking note of both above and below water.
Athletics: 10
When he gets to the box, he ties it off and gives a tug on the rope for Ess to pull, then doesn't lift it so much as try to swim pulling it behind him, assisted by Ash.

((Rope each on Kay and Ash, other end tied off upstairs if we can, just so we can be pulled back up if needed. Just swimming/wading unless things go awry, the ropes on us are just backup. Third rope tied to box, Ess is actively hauling back on that one. Ben is looking on encouragingly.))
((ok gotcha, that all makes sense! There is a mast pole in the lower deck as you can see on the map, so the 2 ropes for Kay and Ash are tied to it, and Ess has the other one in his hands, pulling up the box.))
Korrik, you quietly wade over to the box. You see the bodies at the bow of the hold, but don't see anything else other than the broken crates and debris and the box itself.
Ash, you also wade over a bit ensuring all goes as planned.
Korrik, with Ash's help you're able to move the box and tie the rope around it.
You give the ok for Ess to start pulling on the rope. "Cool bro." He does, and the box starts to move and head upwards.
Ash and Kay start to swim back to the ladder.
Everything seems to be going as planned.

Ben looks more than a little bit irritated, casting another look at the door.
"Fine."
He doesn't look like it is fine.
((Ben has all the extra rope that Aubreck sent us with minus 1.))

Ben doesn't react to Kay's punch beyond moving a step out of reach. He looks to the door and says,
"That is exactly what I'm picturing Kay, gold running out of my hands instead of into my pockets."
((I guess we wait on Klein's responses to Ben's earlier rolls and then we get about our business.))
Once the other two go down, Ben will walk to the door and press his ear to listen.

Ash, the box was half underwater and half out of the water. It is on top of a few other water logged crates.
Ok wait, let me make sure I understand this.
Ess will be pulling up the box with the rope after Kay ties it off? Kay and Ash will then swim back over to the ladder and climb up?
I just need to understand exactly how the ropes are working :)
