Mist runs up from behind the party. "What'd I miss? Had to have a wee. Anything fun?" He looks down at the dead grick and gags. "The chaperone wanders off for a few short moments and this is what the kids get into?? You all disgust me." He claps his hands once, rubs them together, and smiles. "So...break for lunch?"
(The protection didn't work well with you though.) Gintarou thinks. But he is wise enough not to say it aloud. After the attack of the giant worm, the warrior will walk just behind the old tabaxi and keep his eyes for another ambush.
While on a long travel over an area that is harder than normal, such as a dark forest where the beasts are plenty or bandits rule, or in freezing temperatures, or while climbing a tight path on a mountain. Just because you try to take a long rest does not mean it is successful. While in these conditions at the end of a long rest have players make a Constitution saving throw. This is a sliding scale. On a 15 or higher they have gained the benefits of a long rest. On 8-14 they gain the benefits of a short rest anything lower than an 8 they do not get a rest and rather take a level of exhaustion. This effect stacks. Races that do not need a full rest, such as elves and warforgeds are still effected by this.
So, I need everyone to make a Constitution saving throw please.
Aubric sleeps but not well, he is only able to get a short rest in. Kraven on the other hand tosses and turns all night and takes a level of exhaustion.
"Oop... Uh... 'Scuse us... Just gonna... Squeeze by there... Don't mind us! Just um, keep on in your...whatever it is you're doin', there. We'll just be on our way across this bridge here and you'll forget we bothered you just as soon as we're out of sight," Mist rambles as he tries to suck in his stomach and fit between/around the pilgrims without touching any of them, as if they might soil his oh-so-desirable robe. "May the gondolier bless your...oars...or...aw beans."
"Aye he has," Druquilla places a reassuring hand on Sun's shoulder and casts Cure Wounds healing Sun 7

Let me know if there is anything else we want to do before moving on. The Spier has a mechanic with it and the effects of a long rest.

Kraven is good to go.
Druquilla is fine to continue, but she will keep her bow drawn and stay on one side of Sun to keep anything from attacking her again.
