Poking his head out the door to see if anyone came from the noise of breaking the door, Komos waits a second. If no one comes he'll then head to his friend's doors and knock to wake them, trying his key on each just to see if they might work.
Unfortunately the key doesn't seem to work on any door. This confirms that the key was not the wrong one; something happened to the locks themselves to make the doors get stuck. Komos doesn't see anyone in the hall but now he will be able to hear Varn's shouting clearly enough to understand and he would see a fly buzzing around in the hall way.
Varn walks over to the window and tries to open it and assess the height down to the ground. He doesn't expect to jump off there but checks anyway just in case. He'll have a lot to say to the others once he gets out of this room.
Perception, if needed: 5
Unless the window seems to be at a safe distance to climb down from (safe being ground level, really), Varn will yell one more time. "I will now count to three! If by the time I reach 3 the door is not opened I will burn it down and we're going to have a talk about this!"
As Varn opens the window, he has a hard time seeing anything. It is unbelievably foggy outside. He has a hard time judging how far the drop would be but given that its on the second floor, he assumes it would be safe-ish. It might hurt if he fell but it won't be lethal.
Varn is a little confused as to why those who locked the door now can't open it but it seems like there's no helping it. "... 3!" He finishes and calls upon the magic running through his veins to burn the door down. Suddenly, a fire appears beneath the door and lights it up. Once the door is burnt and looks like he can pass through the space created, he'll end the fire.
The door burns with thick black smoke. Soon, the structure collapses in on itself and opens a way forward. The remnants of the door are still burning even after the spell is dismissed and it would be wise to put it out or the whole inn might catch fire.
Sniv the fly is just buzzing around the door when suddenly it erupts into flames, and Sniv who was about to enter the room, has a minor heart attack as he quickly shimmers back into his normal kobold form. Seeing the door on fire he shouts, "Does anybody have a way to put that out?!" Meanwhile, he pulls out a blanket and quickly moves to do his best to smother the flames (assuming Varn has already dismissed the spell).
A combination of heavy blankets and your waterskins will be able to smother the flames. You use your waterskins to wet the blankets and use it to put the fire out. A smokey smell fills the air thanks to the now that the last wisps of smoke from the burnt out door fill the air. The open window in Varn's room lets in a biting winter breeze. Thick white fog is visible on the other side. The fog is so thick that you can't see anything further than 60ft. The sunlight pours into the room and illuminates the room and the hall now. Thanks to the thick fog you are not having trouble with sunlight sensitivity.
Everyone gets 188 XP.
Now that the trio are out in the hall and no longer locked in their rooms, what do you do now?
Also forgot to say this on the last failed lockpick attempt. Thieves Tools HP: 16/25
"Why were the doors locked?" Sniv asks to nobody in particular. He goes back to his door and tries it from the outside. Is it locked from both sides? Or just the inside?

"What do you mean by that? Weren't you two the one who locked the door?" He was about to reprimand them about it but now he realises that they didn't do it. Or they don't admit doing it, at the very least. "Anyway, I think we're supposed to transport a carriage, yes? Did you find it the other day?"
“Carriage, yes. Horses to pull it, no.”Komos says fanning the smoke away from his face with his hand. “Though it seems unlikely... do you think there is anyone downstairs to get breakfast? I’m rather hungry.”
"I hope so." Sniv says in response to Komos' question he shakes his head at the door still confused as to how it managed to lock itself, but seeing the others move on, Sniv puts it out of his mind and heads downstairs to look for something to eat. If he finds anything, he will spend ten minutes performing a ritual to ensure that if there was a toxin in the food that had somehow caused everyone in the tavern to disappear, it would not affect them.

Downstairs is still empty, just like last night. It is very quiet save for the sounds of the trio's own breathing and footfalls and the muffled howls of the chilling wind outside. It does not seem like the doors on the lower floor locked though. There is no one to serve breakfast. To find food, the kitchen is a good place to look. The door in the middle of the hallway that led to the garden outside, led to the kitchen. There were kitchen utensils kept away and the place was clean. There were open crates and sacks containing food items such as lettuce, cauliflower. potatoes, garlic, flour and rice. They were uncooked.
The cart in the stables though lacked roses, was small enough for the three kobolds and their mounts to pull if they worked together.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
If the kitchen is still functional, Sniv takes whatever materials are in the kitchen as well as the food items and works on preparing a meal while the other two Kobold's strategize. When he is done preparing breakfast, he calls out, "Food is ready!" and brings out the whatever food he prepared from the kitchen. Once they are all eating, Sniv asks, "So, any ideas on how we are moving the carriage without horses?"

(No you don't get an ability modifier. I'm going to say it's WIS... which would mean you don't fail the check)
Sniv cooks up some quick stew with the ingredients available. The veggies providing the main solids of the stew while the rice and flour add a thickness to the broth. The whole thing tastes how you would expect a plain stew with veggies to taste though it is heavy and filling; a good meal for the day's hardships ahead.
"Can't the three dogs pull it? Maybe you can help them if you turn into some large beast." Varn says. Other than that, he has no idea how they could carry the thing. They could probably carry the items inside one by one, but he has no time for such tedious tasks. Besides, why even bother for people who didn't bother leaving horses or greet him upon his arrival and farewell when he leaves? Or even show themselves really. "We can also just leave it here. These people don't deserve our help if they don't even show themselves once."
Sniv nods at Varn's suggestion to Wild Shape into a beast of burden, but frowns when Varn suggests leaving the cart here. "If we leave the cart here then we can't get paid. The innkeeper may not be here, but maybe when we get to the Phandalin place, Gundren will give us our payment. Besides, if this Gundren man knows of any monsters we can kill, that's our best chance at bringing back something bigger than Arix. We don't really have anything else to go on." Sniv sighs and shakes his head. He agrees with Varn that anybody that isn't even willing to show their face shouldn't be trusted, but they don't really have another choice.

“Wait wait! Let me try to open the door.” Komos says pulling out his set of tools ((19)).
“Never mind. Burn it down...”
