Komos notices the Hunter making a move. With the tree on fire it has no choice but to escape. From the hole, The Hunter leaps out of the tree and lands near Skarro, Varn and... Zorn? There is no Zorn. Was he real or was he a hallucination? There was no time to worry about that now. The Hunter was right on them but it was in the the open now.
(( @DM: Just trying to get a picture in my head...we were many feet away from Hunter's tree (at least not at it's base), probably at base of other trees. It was at the top of what I assume was a big tree. How did hunter get down so fast and get near us? Is it right next to us? ))

"Now's the chance! Get 'em! GET 'EM!" Varn runs forward to close the distance to the Hunter, leading the charge, in his mind at least. Cannot let that creature leave their effective range again. Besides, while he's distracting the Hunter up close, the others will have an easier time attacking it.
Drawing a dagger and brandishing it on the way, Varn enhances the weapon, filling it with booming energy. Then, he tries to stab the Hunter to transfer the detrimental magic into their body.
Attack: 18 Damage: 7 Piercing + 8 Thunder. If the Hunter moves willingly before the start of Varn's next turn, he takes an additional 7 Thunder damage.

Komos blinks at his friend's rash action, but quickly acts, popping his head out from behind the tree just long enough to loose a hot pellet at the hunter.

Skarro's eyes widen as Varn runs forward -- the courage of his kind makes his chest swell with pride. His ego demands that he do the same, but he manages to maintain a clear head. Instead directs the ire of his patron at the Hunter, and launches two bolts of arcane energy at it before returning to cover.
Bonus Action: Hexblade's Curse (critical 19-20, +3 to damage rolls)
(( Looks like the extra rolls for advantage are no better than the two originals; but it also looks like the original "hover" details are completely broken, but they were 1d20+6 ))
The Hunter lets out a screech. However rushing the Hunter might have been the best move. It is unable to focus on its devastating shots with its strange, alien weapon. Instead it draws an equally unnerving hunting knife and slashes at Varn. Varn manages to avoid the very toothy and warped blade the Hunter swung.

Although he managed to avoid getting cut by Hunter's blade, Varn realises the Hunter is capable enough to be considered a threat at close range as well. Therefore, he decides to save what little strength he still has for defence, and focus on offence just enough to keep the Hunter engaged. Once again, he brandishes his blade with booming energy, then tries to stab the Hunter to transfer those energies into the creature.
Attack: 25 Damage: 13. On a hit, if the Hunter moves at least 5' willingly before the start of Varn's next turn, they take 9 additional points of Thunder damage.

Komos runs forward, just to be able to reach Varn, but stay out of melee from the hunter, and quickly places a hand on his friend curing 5 damage as he looks up at the hunter snarling.

Skarro was ready to run to aid Var, but seeing him rise up again, Skarro moves to a nearer location where he can replace Varn should he fall again, then launches two more bolts of energy at the Hunter before taking cover.
As his friends seem to have the fire under control, Komos just peeps out from his tree hiding place to see if he notices any movement.

How did the Hunter get down so fast: It jumped down.
How near is it to you: It's at the base of the tree so not melee range but can get into melee range without dashing.
