Red Chanter crouches, extends her claws, and springs onto the western wall of the cave. Quick as...well...a cat, she climbs out over the pool toward the suspended Shagar all while singing (she has incredible diaphragm control) in an upbeat tempo and not at all like Mary Poppins. From the cave wall, she reaches out a hand to touch Shagar and casts cure wounds as a red glow emanates from her fallen comrade. Red Chanter books it back to her starting position with her aptly-named feline agility while using her bonus action to give the orc 1d6 bardic inspiration to hopefully help her get free of the giant frog.
Attracted (and terrified) by the commotion inside the cave, Katia run in. The only thing she could remember right now was the sleep charm and, praying for it to work, she said the words. Nearly instantly, the yellow and blue frogs are lulled to sleep, their eyelids slipping closed for a euphoric but ill-timed nap.
As Shagar comes around she realizes she is about to be eaten by a giant frog and, with an orcish cry, attempts to jam her pike down its throat. Thrashing in the water, it’s difficult to aim, and she merely grazes its flesh.
Old Man Malik ponders how strange that there cat is; climbing all over the place, singing and holllaerin' tapps his cane with the exclamation "Hoi Poi Hoi" as a spear of light appears above that seems to fling itself at the Frog ShagarDaelnar is in combat with. (Redirecting that attack to avoid disrupting Katia’s sleep). It strikes theredfrog with a sizzle, and the tantalizing aroma of fried chicken fills the cave.
Daelnar sees his polearm dip deeper into the water, and Shagar stride into it, seemingly oblivious to the lack of a floor. As he is bringing the butt back out of the water, a long, cold pink tongue catches him by surprise, not just striking at him, but sticking to him. The slimy feel and sticky texture were not something that the barbarian wanted to let his thoughts linger on too long. As the others all sprang into action, Daelnar wrestled with the appendage hampering his movement. Unable to get away from the tongue, he reasoned that severing it from the body of the frog would be the easiest solution to his current predicament, as he tries to maneuver the long glaive's head and butt into damaging positions. The light from Malik’s spell must blind him, for he only stabs the rocks.
(Botting Harley): Harley leaps to the edge of the pool, slamming the head of her axe down toward the redfrog! Attack: 9 Damage: 5
Her blade clangs as it bounces off of a nearby rock.
The redfrog releases its grip on Daelnar, lashing out at Harley with a slurp: Attack: 23 Damage: 10
(Harley is now grappled, while Daelnar and Shagar are not. Initiative (bold may act): PCs, enemy)
(As per OOC: Time jump flashback to prior travel: As they settled in to rest and plan for the cave trip, back in the shop, Malik patches up his cohort 7 HP healed to Harley prior to entry to the cave)
Happy to see her spell working (and unable to help in any other way) Katia made a step back - to get a better view of the red frog, really, and sent a Fire Bolt at the beast: Attack: 11 Damage: 5 (WM roll: 7 , if failed 60)
Visibly frustrated by their lack of progress so far, Red Chanter kneels, rests an elbow on one knee, and aims her newly-acquired crossbow between Daelnar's knees. Sticking her tongue out the side of her mouth and squinting one eye, she fires at the frog!
(Assuming I understand correctly; one awake frog two sleeping; and no one is currently downed?
Following suit of the younger more impulsive; Malik taps his can against the frozen wall creating yet another arrow of light that flings towards the frog as Malik aims his cane.
(Frog that is grappling; Red I believe) 14to hit 6force

Having seen the frog release its grip on Daelnar as it was attacked, Harley decides to try and use the same strategy, using both handaxes to slash at the tongue holding her.

Glad to be free of the tongue, but seeing it now lash out at Harley and take hold, Daelner readies himself to strike down at the appendage holding one of the party.

(If the frog is killed before Daelnar's attacks, he will stow his glaive and draw out two javelins, preparing to go spear fishing next turn.)
The red frog is reduced to sashimi, leaving two others dreaming peacefully in the pool.

(Perception DC 12):
You notice a large wooden plank leaning against the wall on the south side of the pool. If one person could reach it, it might be an effective bridge to cross over the frigid water.

With the first frog dispatched and its two friends taking a temporary snooze Daelnar takes a look around the chamber. A plank rests on the wall along the other side of the pool . "Hey, Red, reckon you could make it over t' that long ol' plank o' wood? Maybe make us a bridge across the pool?" Daelnar points over to the wall and plank.
"If we can take care o' these frogs on the way past all the better."
Red spots the wooden plank and is able to maneuver it across the pond. Likely it's been similarly used by those who dwell within the cave to cross the cold water. The party is able to cross with relative ease.
The cavern branches into a cavern to the east and up a tunneled slope to the south. (Which way? Two players in agreement is enough for me.)
Daelnar crosses the impromptu bridge and joins Red on the other side. The light from the hand axe at his side helping him see deeper into the cavern. He looks over to Red, "Let's see what's down this corridor first. If the bridge was for travel from this direction, then this is most likely the quickest way to find them..."
Shagar struggles with her anger trying to decide if she wants to jam her pike into these creatures or not. Ultimately she moves across the bridge. Looking away into the cave "I am sorry for my carelessness, it seems my eagerness to punish these people caused us to be in harms way." Hearing Malik's offer of healing she takes a few deep breaths and looks back to the old man. "I am not badly injured but if you think you have plenty to last I would take a little aid."
"They will wake up very soon unless we kill them,"with the sadness in her voice answered Katia, though it was hard to tell what part of the sentence saddened her - the short duration of the spell or the necessity to kill the monsters. "If we are going back that way..." She did not finish - they all were here to know what to expect.
(For now both frogs are considered unconscious with every benefits condition provides)
Red Chanter stares at the frigid pool for a moment before saying, "I have to wonder if their aggression wasn't just a reaction to our hastily barging in to their pool... The others in this cave get in and out with the plank and the frogs are still alive so it leads me to believe we'll be able to get out without as much trouble now that we know they're here."
With that she bends and lifts the plank back into its place leaning against the wall and gives a dismissive, "So we're not followed and ambushed from behind."

He takes out his Glaive and casually drives the head down into the unmoving body and follows up with the butt of his glaive to push the creature away...
