NEW CAMPAIGN - RAVENLOFT 1983

Irmyll meanders over to the bar to chat up the barkeep.  "Hail and well met, my friend.  May I please buy a round of your finest for my friends and I?  We've had an interesting past few days, a need to drink to forget about the horrors we've seen."

Imryll gently places a single, shiny gold piece on the bar, and asks the barkeep "How do you know that a Necromancer is a nerd?"  ....pauses for a couple seconds in silence.... "If he lives with his mummy!"

Imryll snickers uncontrollably.  Seeing that the barkeep isn't reacting to her obviously HUMOROUS joke, she tries another one: "What do you call the unfair advantage undead have in a necropolis?"  ....again, pauses in silence for a few agonizing seconds.... "No?  Wight privilege!  Hahahahahahahahahaha!"

Seeing that her jokes aren't getting anywhere with the barkeep, Imryll places a second shiny gold piece stacked neatly on top of the first.

"Sorry, my friend.  Ever have one of those adventures where everything just turns out absolutely nutty?  I see you have.  A round of your finest, as well as some of that delectable breakfast I can smell coming from your kitchen, please!"

Briella is trying to keep others from going off by themselves after her encounter with Strahd. He's made her a little nervous. Assuming that Grishkar is going to try and sneak away to the graveyard after he learns where it is and that he wants to go alone, because he's Grishkar. And that Briella has been a little behind the group as she was talking to the guard and I'm going to roll to see if she can see him leave if he does.

Perception: 22

OOC:Nope Probs won't see him and just hang out at the tavern instead if he leaves without telling anyone.

Haha! Joke telling, breakfast serving, drinks rounding, Briella wondering. So far so good! You guys can hang out here for a while, or move on to another location. The town is yours to explore. Who knows what you might find?

Upon hearing the bard’s story, Kia sits back,  speculatively eyeing Ezmerelda and Ireena. To Martha, she says, “Perhaps we are looking for a third human woman.”

“Could be. Though, did he ever say they were human, maybe we’re dealing with the previous rulers of this place. If that’s the case, maybe Strahd could be displaced as well...”

"The poem could also mean the three artifacts."

Kia has tried, throughout the adventure, to keep an eye in Grishkar. That remains true in the tavern room. 

Perception: 19

If (when) Grishkar leaves, Kia will stand and follow him, tapping Briella on the shoulder as she goes.

To Grishkar as she catches up to him, ”Do you go for a walk, defiler? I, too, seek a place of more... peace. I will come with you.”

Ireena and Ezmerelda look at each other upon hearing the story. They look seriously at one another, then snort with a smile when they realize, that, clearly, that story couldn't possible be meant to be about them.

If you guys (Kia and Grishkar) choose to venture away from the group, let me know, and i'll have two segments going. Due to the violent nature of this campaign, proceed with caution.

To Martha, as Kia stands to follow Grishkar (this is all assuming he makes to leave) she says, “Martha, this town seems off, as does much of this land. I will keep an eye on our grave robber. If you hear a horn nobody else hears,” she taps the shiny sounding horn slung across her body, “Come quickly.”

No one hates the burgomaster more than Lady Fiona Wachter, who is often quoted as saying, "I'd rather serve the devil than a madman." She owns an old house in town (area N4) but rarely leaves her estate. Her two adult sons are local troublemakers. Lady Wachter also has a mad daughter whom she keeps locked away. The burgomaster doesn't confont Fiona or her offspring because her family has old ties to Strahd.

Martha gives Kia a thumbs up, “You got it. Try to keep him on a short leash.” Martha replies with a chuckle as she sits down near Imyrll and the bartender to listen.

Briella will follow the two(Grishkar and Kia) if they leave. She's going to put on her best most 'disappointed mom' face for Grishkar as they walk.

Martha waves Bors over. She whispers over to him, “Hear that? A crazy daughter is locked up in someone’s house. That sounds awfully similar to a fortune we know, doesn’t it?”
