Lilitu listens and looks kind of shocked, "oh I get it now why I was so confused when I examined him. I am a self-taught healer," moves her hand up to her mouth, "this is some of my first work, hurt like the dickens. But natural causes, that's a real thing? Here I thought it was an old wives tale, I have never seen or had experience with a natural cause before though I have brought back dead cats if they are not gone very long. I wish I could do something to help your father but that's beyond me, but as I said I am willing to help see him buried."
"No. Nothing at all. I'm not even awake when it bites me. I cannot fathom a reason why he would do this to me, but I want to see it destroyed." She says "My brother and I are the only ones left alive in our family. He spends his time in the Inn. At dawn, we shall begin our journey."
“Right. Sounds like a plan. Do you know if the inn has rooms available, or should we stay here?” Martha also looks toward Lilitu, ”Don’t those spells consume diamonds normally?”

Briarfang chomps on the scone and goes outside to bury her new treasure in the dirt. Briella is going to attempt an insight check on the woman to see if she's being honest about all that she has said.
As you fall asleep, Martha, you have a vision of sorts - perhaps...a nightmare? It's very vivid, very brief. But it seems so real. You're in bed, you're completely encased in spiderwebs. You can't move. Your mouth is covered, you can't scream, you can barely breathe. It's completely dark in your room. That wouldn't bother you so much, as you come from deep underground. What does bother you is that your entire family is surrounding you around the bed. Looking at you with eyes of red. Deep eyes of red. Spiders all over the bed now. Your family looking at you. Millions of spiders everywhere. Crawling all over you. One of your family members pulls out a dagger - is that your father? Hovers it over your heart. Holds it. The spiders completely cover you. You try to scream and the dagger plunges into your heart.
You awake completely drenched in sweat.
THE CHURCH (E6)
DAYBREAK
Atop a slight rise, against the very roots of the castle's pillar stone, stands a gray, sagging edifice of stone and wood. This church has weathered the assaults of evil for centuries on end and is worn and weary. The bell tower hands to one side, its sweet tone long silenced. Flickering light shines through holes burned through the roof shingles. The rafters strain feebly against their load. The interior of the church itself is completely in shambles, with overturned and broken benches littering the dusty floor. At a claw-scarred altar toward the far end is a priest.
"Ireena!" He says in surprise as he breaks his incessant chanting and praying. ""Oh, thank the Gods, you're alright!"
Ireena hugs the old man. "I'm ok, Donavich. These are my new friends. We need your help. We're here to bury my Father."
Donavich spends every night warding off evil from his church with prayer and holy symbols. He does so every night. It's the only thing that keeps the undead and wolves at bay. He looks all of you over, giving you all a weak smile. He's exhausted.

"Greetings Donavich. I am Briella. Cleric sworn to the service of Ehlonna, goddess of the woodlands. And this here is Jitters."She kneels down to pet a badger that has been scurrying behind her.
"It is nice to meet you." Briella stands and bows to the priest.
As Martha wakes up, light pours out of her eyes and she covers her mouth reflexively, while the radiance sears a good portion of the room and bleaches it white. Thankfully, she had found a secluded area of the home to sleep in, otherwise the same might’ve happened to her friends. Calming herself down, the light dims and vanishes, except for one little mote of gentle light in front of her. She breathes deeply and mumbles to herself, “Tadriel... I really hate this place...” Before curling up around the small light that at least provides a little comfort to her.
Having been semi-rested, Martha does her best to greet a fellow member of the cloth, “Hello, Mr. Donovich, I pray you are having a blessed day.”

"My dears, the pleasure is mine. It's good to meet other people of faith." Donavich smiles, as he addresses Briella and Martha. "I remember the day Ireena's father brought her home. He found her as a child along the edge of the woods! No memory of where, or when she came from. So unusual, don't you think, considering this forsaken land has been tormented by undead for so long? But she is a good woman. Strong of mind, and heart. Come. Let us bury her father."
"No." Ireena says, "He couldn't take the attacks every night and eventually had a heart attack. Natural causes."

Insight: 19
As far as you can tell, Briella, she is being truthful.
OOC: I believe Martha will turn in if everyone else is. Probably best to avoid night

Kia will meditate a little, then curl into a ball and sleep.
ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he).
Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
Briella will go to bed too, with Briarfang at her heels. When she wakes up she is going to send a few minutes communing with her god.
OOC: I'm gonna use that time to see if there are any spells I want prepare.

Martha, you are unable to discern that information.
"Shall we proceed to the cemetery? Donavich asks.
