“Curse, huh? What happened? Did Tempus do that?”

"Not directly.... truth be told I'm demontouched. Through  Tempus  I've learned to focus and come to grips somewhat."

“I see.” Martha looks genuinely sympathetic, “I can understand that, what with having almost my entire race worship one. I’ve read about the hardships those creatures can cause. I can also understand drawing close to one’s deity in such times, as one should... but my only worry is that we might not be in connection with them in this place. I haven’t heard from my angel since we’ve gotten here, only silence. Though, it could just be me. Tell me, has Tempus contacted you in any way since you’ve gotten here?”

"No more or less than he did before, but I still have use of all the abilities he grants me."

Martha seems confused, “‘No more or less?’ He does talk to you normally, right? I mean, sure I’m talking to Tadriel most of the time, but you do at least have communication with Tempus, don’t you?”

"His continual support of my actions validates my relationship with him and his approval of my deeds. I have never been able to commune with him directly, but I feel buoyed by his divine presence even here."

Martha puts her hand on her chin, “Huh. That’s... weird. Actually, that does make sense why my father never really talked to Her directly, but my mother did. Wait, so does that mean Briella doesn’t talk to her goddess directly?”

Grishkar goes down after the instigating prod by Bakin. He sits up, hands crawling with parasites, "Come here little breakfast. I'll turn you to compost before you hit the ground."

Bakin snorts again, standing his ground. The elf reeks of death and corruption and everything his mistress is not. The cat notices this too and stands muscles tensed waiting for him to act. Briella at this point notices Grishkar on the ground.

"Grishkar, what are you doing on the ground? Stop messing around and get up we need to decide what to do next." She looks at the other two.

"Alright I think we should vote, we can either check around for the others or we can go back to the inn and wait for them."

STOCKS (N8)

AFTERNOON, 2 PM

The stocks contain 3 men, 2 women, and 2 boys - all of them wet, tired, and famished. According to the guards, they have been arrested for "malicious unhappiness" because they all had negative opinions about the upcoming festival. The guards warn you to not mess or free with the prisoners, as that would be considered a crime in Vallaki. They are all scheduled to have a meeting with the Burgomaster in a few days to listen to him speak in an effort to try and mend their ways.

There is nothing else of interest in the area.

(Remember, at 7pm it will be considered "dark" - and those vampire spawn are very annoyed)

Currently, Marsha and Bors are at (N8), Ezmerelda and Ireena are in the Inn (N2), and Briella, Grishkar, and Kia are in front of the Coffin Maker's shop (N6). Imryll is heading to (N6).

The main mission in this town is to find "Strahd's Nemesis"

Kia is amused at Grishkar's expense.

"There are still some hours before dark, we should find the others, then consider our actions. I should like to be indoors and protected when night falls, but we must also make haste, we have alerted Strahd and his minions to our presence. Perhaps Imryll has heard somewhat about our search for the... was it a crazy daughter?"

Martha waves Bors over. She whispers over to him, “Hear that? A crazy daughter is locked up in someone’s house. That sounds awfully similar to a fortune we know, doesn’t it?”

Well, i'm kinda glad you are. Someone's gotta keep me focused. 

Ok! It's been a day. Discuss what you wanna do, if you want, group up, and if you wanna head to the Wachterhaus, i'll have it ready first thing tomorrow.

Bors  looks over the scene at the stocks then moves on at the guard's  warning. He's thinking this is excessive considering the crime but yet it is consistent with the law here. The law needs to be changed.

"We should regroup with the others first, but yeah, let's get our business here done. I'm ready to see this town behind us."
