Morrigan looks at the rats and just shakes her head. "At least these have no need to have their names recorded." Attack: 17 Damage: 0 (that was supposed to be initiative not an attack)

Markus will make his first swing at Rat one, and his second on the Giant Rat.

Zook throws out an acid ball to strike to of the rats close to one another.

Sydril sends another rat plummeting to its death!

Tarak will try and make some ratatouille.

The last of the rats is slain by Tarak. Ahead of you, beyond the carnage, lies the narrow bridge with stone column in its center. Other than the light coming from the door behind you, the room is in complete darkness. 

"I'm going in," Tarak informs his companions.  He presses carefully forward across the bridge, flicking a few dead rat bodies off into the chasm to make the passage a little more sure.  Eyes fully adjusted for the darkness he moves slowly forward, foot by careful foot.

Tarak shrugs as he tries to read the various scripts.  Nonsense.  He moves past the large pillar and on to the next part of the bridge but holds there until his companions have had a chance to read the runes. 

The Dark Traveller is ahead.  Vengeance is near.  It's time.  He checks the sinew necklace around his neck and ensures the old bone is still there.  Satisfied the ancient relic remains in his possession he awaits his companions.

Keeping an eye on Tarak, Sydril stops at the pillar and looks over the writings.  Wonder if I will find anymore demon filth.  

The writings are in a number of languages, but Sydril spots phrases in Abyssal repeated several times over and over: "Praise be to Ixthiuitol the Grasping Flame. Embrace the crushing end within his endless coils."
