For some reason Tommary the Unworthy recalls the card game "Poke Mon" played by both children of the urchin alleys and roustabouts in taverns, Using a deck of regular playing cards, opponents would choose a face card to represent a monster of their choosing, Tommary would often choose the Beholder, and the game would consist of drawing cards from the deck to "poke" your opponent's monster. Victory was achieved through a number of conditions, but Tommary always preferred to go for the win called "Beguile."
He sends message to the Beholder, "Yo New Sentry, what are the passage protocols here? Please speak out loud, I can hear ya."

The sphere spins madly shining light in every direction then goes back to scanning each passage, and finally settles on facing Tommary. It answers back, "Invader, intruder, prowler! If you wish to pass my stand, you must mimic the color of my hand!"
Four tentacles extend in Tommary's direction, held steady at about chest height. Each end is curled about sharp spines or barbs with the smooth backside facing the man. The tentacles glow a dim color, Red, Green, Yellow, Blue. One of them flashes brightly, and you all hear a high pitched voice say, "Tap the hands in order of the light."

Man, I haven't done a Simon Says in forever and a day. Mine kinda started beatboxing on me, I was honestly tracking the sounds more than the lights. And it showed. Side note: I like when DMs do neat interactibles like this, and also a Simon Says beholder totally tracks for those ********. 'Perfect Memory Forwards and backwards Through Time', nlahh

OOC: I can never get images working right on Chrome which is my default on this device. Managed to post it by switching to Safari. But yeah, that was a fun task and totally a Beholder con-TRAP-tion. "You're now all under the spell of hypnotic pattern."

OOC: Prior to encountering Henley, which is Tommary's name for this Beholder paying some poetic tribute to Henry and Layla, party was planning on heading toward the flush. I think we're still on board for that despite the depositing of Henley the Despotic at this juncture.
