OOC: Seriously, Yurei, ArwensDaughter, what the heck are we looking for again?
OOC, it took a bit of digging, but I think I found it:
We were sent for a Rod, a Sword, and an Amulet. The wizard in Silverthorn sent us seeking for a Sword, a Hammer, and a Trident.
Another post indicated that we had located the first three. I’m thinking we haven’t found any of the list from silverthorn yet, though
Ooohh, you’re good. Yeah, Ely has the Rod and the sword is either Sizzlean or Rellia, I’m not sure about the Amulet though. We haven’t found the ones from Silverthorn as far as I can remember.

OOC: well, for once the “searchin thread tool worked.” Based on the second post I found, the scarab is the amulet on our list.
OOC: The amulet/scarab is the Antimagic Dingus we got off of Father Christmas. The rod is Elyona's Lordly Might. The sword is Thunderfury, Blade of the Windbreaker. Nobody had any clue if Rilia was the second sword, but Ilyara had Rilia openly on her person when they went to Elfland and it wasn't spotted and confiscated. Think we've got Cliffside's arsenal but not the Grove's, and we're currently tasked with finding their stuff or, failing that, getting their Door to Nowhere back to them.
OOC: Windbreaker is actually Tommary's Scimitar of Warning. Tommary's only used Sizzlean to skate over muck and go into a rage to break a grapple, because long swords don't do sneak attack and Tommary opted to take the duelist fighting style as part of the Totally Real Fighting Circuit. Everything else sounds right.
*Sorry not an Ax of McGuffins, but I'm looking for Swords, Hammers, and Trident McGuffins. You crew see any?**
*Tommary the Unworthy Shamus is hoping the high sign of Cliffside cant translates to the Frogger. McGuffin being used to describe things for which folks are willing to both cut authorities' corners and climb to perilous heights in order to acquire. The proverbial, "stuff that dreams are made of," which was epithet first ascribed to a statue of Rodan, the Wind Carver, in its majestic feathered incarnation, an incarnation according to lore was one of the forces responsible for artistic inspiration in the cosmos ... or so it's said. In truth, this Falcon of Maltan Stone has been responsible for a legacy of murder and violent strife over its ownership, a conflict that can pull in people across all social castes, but is often harbingered by the presence of an entity know as the Fatal Woman, who some say may be kin of the Lady of Pain.

Bright shiny eyes blink and you can almost hear the effect of Thaumaturgist KlickKlack Foley *SHWINK* and weapons of various types (including, swords, hammers, and tridents) suddenly appear in the hands of the frog people.
One of them meticulously licks the tines on his trident.
OOC: Ah, yes. The sword was Blackrazor, the trident was Wave, and the hammer was...I forget, but I recall that we were looking for legendary D&D treasures this time. Also phucc.
IC: "Y'know, just had a thought...if these things have been in this mountain for as long as th' Baron said, d' ye think maybe the locals've found 'em and grown attached? Maybe we should be a little careful with askin' 'bout 'em if we find locals, ne? Ye should maybe tell Tallboots t' practice his discretion, much as those two words don't go t'gether."
Tommary the Unworthy and Outnumbered starts to slowly wall dance the line back up the drop with a, *I think we hit an impasse, let me try to reset* gesture in cant which he accompanies with a rendition of the Cliffside croon, "The Artificer"
"Tell me your secrets and ask me your questions Oh, let's go back to the start Running in circles, coming up tails Heads on a artifice apart
Nobody said it was easy It's such a shame for us to part Nobody said it was easy No one ever said it would be this hard Oh, take me back to the start
I was just guessing at numbers and figures Pulling the puzzles apart Questions of artifice, artifice and progress Do not speak as loud as my heart But tell me you love me, come back and haunt me Oh and I rush to the start
Running in circles, chasing our tails Coming back as we are
Nobody said it was easy Oh, it's such a shame for us to part Nobody said it was easy No one ever said it would be so hard I'm going back to the start"
OOC: If you thought that was something for him to pull, you should see the Totally Real Fighting Circuit's house band bring it down with "Yellow"
OOC 2: Didn't realize how much the video fo the actual song Tommary retreats to makes sense for retreating:
IC: Toots the Blissfully Unawaremessages Tommary saying: “Ily says that maybe you should be careful askin about those weapons, just in case the folks down here have grown attached to them.”
Tommary the Unworthy Chroniclerrecounts his harrowing first contact with the Frog folk, from his initial handy canty conversation, to the brandishing of many weapons, including examples of the varieties for which they seek, prompting his retreat back up here to assess their options.
"So do we like go back down and try to talk them, pretend we're going to talk to them but overwhelm them with our superior tactical skillsets, or rain fire down on them from above?"

“I say we try talkin’ first, and if that goes sideways we can always switch to overwhelming them with superior stuff. Sound fair? Ely, Ily, what d’youse think?”
"Think th' same thing. 'till they prove otherwise, they're just folks tryin' t' get by in this festering shithole of a mountain. No reason t' get murderous unless they start it. After all, they let Tallboots back up here without a fight, ne? Show of force, but no aggression. Seems worth respectin' that decision some t' me."
"One of them was suggestively licking their trident, but I couldn't parse out the meaning. Just putting that out there for full disclosure, so we all going to go down the line this time?"
