To Prove D&D Exists for Echolon

There is light magic in the area - whatever would keep the water aerated and slowly dissipate waste material from the pens.

Beyond the door you sense a few sources of enchantment, one being quite powerful.

Squatting by the keyhole, presuming Toots reports her findings, Tommary considers, "Hmmmmm."

The keyhole is not enchanted, and looks to be in working order in spite of the sand and acid blob.

“Seems all clear to me Ily. You should be safe from spelltraps. Hunh, I wondered how they kept he water so clean.”

“So, ‘KEYMASTER,’ which one do’ya think it is?”

"Still don't trust it.  This rotten place's never made it as easy as 'stick a key in a keyhole and go further inside'.  But it's this're go back to th' digestin' doors an' I trust those even less, so...blugh.  Just wish I could figure out the gimmick 'fore it bites us in the hind parts.  Or the Hin parts," ilyara said, flashing a brief, friendly smirk at Toots.

OOC: Going to go for Tommary as I believe that guy is busy

As Tommary tries the various colored keys, different sounds come from the door.

The red key produces a scraping sliding sound.

The green key produces a simple *snick-click*.

The black key makes a *whump-whump-whump*.

And so on until all of the keys are used.

OOC:  Hey all, sorry.  Yeah, the RL work stuff I thought would occupy me over the weekend came up past few days.  But "it's done".

Can Tommary parse out a pattern or a rhythm, or any sort of sequence that smoothes the noises out into a coherent tune or mechanical working?  Investigation 20

Using various keys in a rhythmic pattern, Tommary makes some noise. A series of clanks, kooshes, thumps, and bangs produces a recognizable tune. Not great, but passable.

"Ya know Tallboots, with tunes like that?  You could play in the fifth...no, the fourth-best alehole in the Rat Runs down in Lowtown!"

“Aside from makin’… “interesting” music, do any of those keys ‘do’ anything?”

"Keys are just the trigger ... the instrument or whatever it is that does the noisemaking, that's behind the door, anyone want me to set it on a particular noise.  I'd say something squishy but <looks around> been there done that, so maybe we should actually go for something sharp."

“You’re the KEYMASTER….”

Tommary tries to find the key that produces the softest (but not squishy) sound.  No wet paper, no bubbling, just like soft wind or leaves or something like that.  "So you all want me to play with the key hole while you all check beyond the door?"

OOC: Is the door now unlocked?

One key makes a soft sliding sound.

Tommary will stick with that one.
