OOC: Don't forget that Bless is still active on Hawksley, Tommary, and Oethe for all attacks and saves. I don't think it would have changed any misses into hits last round, but I noticed it didn't get included in attack rolls for Hawksley or Tommary (although it was for Tommary's save).
If possible, Elyona will hold her action until one of the following happens: 1) a tentacle or other body part she can see attacks a party member or 2) the darkness spell/effect ends and she can see the target. If either of those occur, she will attack with her battleaxe. If applicable, she will also use her reaction to impose disadvantage on an attack against an ally within 5 feet. If she is not within 5 feet of someone, she will move so she is.
OOC: Let me know if you want those attack rolls now, in case the conditions are met.
Toots raises her lute and begins to pluck an energetic staccato of major chords, faster and faster until the notes become a crescendo and casts major image in the air above their heads creating an image of golden fireworks that each explode into another firework. Every explosion of golden light births another which births another so that instead of a static source of light which might be dispelled or consumed by the creature, it is instead a never ending series of brief, overlapping lights.

OOC: Tryin’a light this ***** up like a rave yo!
OOC: I'm going to say try something else and save a spell slot or try a different spell. The major image can create the fireworks but would not create light or it does but only in your mind. Meaning it would give the viewers flashing images of the room - everybody has seen it, BUT the flashing images would be only in their mind. So the creature could be sitting right in front of you in the darkness but the fireworks would not reveal it as the fireworks are not real.

If that’s you’re ruling then I will need some time to consider my turn. However, I respectfully disagree, and ask you to reconsider your ruling. The spell specifies that it creates the image within the space, not that it creates the image within the minds of its observers. According to the Spell’s description, it would even create the image for creatures I could not possibly know were observing the space. Furthermore, it goes on to specify that the illusions it creates cannot be hot or cold enough to cause damage, bright enough to induce blindness, the sounds cannot induce deafness, and the smells cannot induce other conditions like a troglodyte’s stench. That indicates to me the actual eyes ears and noses are being affected by the illusion. (That’s kinda why I picked the spell.)
Edits: Typos; apparently it doesn’t say that, apparently I can even make this thing bright enough to blind everyone in the room. That really indicates actual eyeballs seeing an actual image of an imaginary thing.
Edit 2: The last line of the spell’s description even states “If a creature discerns the illusion for what it is, the creature can see through the image, and its other sensory qualities become faint to the creature” which further supports the interpretation of these sensory phenomena being external from the image itself, and not internal to the observer.
OOC: I've been rolling blessing, and adding it to roll modifiers for attacks and saves. My last shot was a nat 1, which became an 11 because of my +7 attack and +3 blessing.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
QUESTION OOC: Since the thing is engaging multiple combatants, can I apply sneak attack damage with my bow even though I'm technically shooting blind?
With that in mind:
Tommary got knocked down, but he gets back up again, that thing will never keep him down. If there's available space, Tommary will use his remaining 15' of movement to get further from the doorway as he draws his bow toward the last direction of attack and sends an arrow into the darkness
Attack: 11 Damage: 6 and possible sneak attack damage 6

Well then, Toots will use a 2nd-level spell slot to cast faerie fire centered on the door so that it catches everything with 20 feet of the doorway on the other side. Hopefully that will do something.
