It really all depends on how much the seller thinks it’s worth and how bad the buyer wants it. That’s really what sets the sale price for anything. It might be 100 gp to the right buyer. Now, most trinkets are generally just novelty items for flavor, but I’ve actually used some as plot devices for stories and even turned some into magic items or cursed items, or even cursed magic items.

I've gotten some actual use out of trinkets, but usually they are just flavor. Some of the Strixhaven trinkets are interesting.
