I have a question concerning the spell Bigby‘s Hand, more specificly the part about the Clenched Fist. It says: „Make a melee spell attack for the hand using your game statistics.“ Does this mean I use my Strength modifier, similar to making an unarmed strike, or do I use my spellcasting ability modifier. It would change a lot, making the spell nearly useless for my bard if it used Strength. I was just so confused on the wording of the spell and I couldn‘t find anything explaining what it meant. Can anybody help me out? Thank you :D
Yeah, but spell casters probably would have a +8 pretty early anyways. At the level when they pick up 5th level spells, they mostly will have a +8 if not +9. But yeah I would allow that too :D

It's a spell attack.
You use your spellcasting ability. That's why it says "spell attack".

Thank you so much, it makes so much more sense but I wasn’t sure. Have a great day :D
