Hi, recently I have been planning to try and play an armorer artificier but I am kinda confused about a couple of applications for infusions:
-At level 9 each of the Armorer's gauntlets count as separate simple weapons so if I wanted to take the dual wielder feat and dual wield them then I would be forced to choose only one gauntlet to infuse with "Enhanced weapon" right? Or would the infusion affect both?
-If I use replicate magic item infusion, which starting materials do I need? Do I have to buy the components like written in the DMG or do I just need a non magical version of the item to infuse?
Technically, for Replicate Magic Item, you need a mundane item of the appropriate type. Like my Artificer infused a sack for a Bag of Holding. But DDB doesn't currently provide a "mundane" version of every possible type of magic item allowable for Replicate Magic Item, so it just "adds" the magic item to your inventory when you Infuse a Replicate Magic Item.

No, the pair of gauntlets counts as a single item for infusion purposes. If you take the Dual Wielder feat that doesn’t change.
For infusions you don’t need anything from the DMG, that stuff is for permanent magic items. To infuse a bag of holding for example, you just need a nonmagical pouch or sack.
So I can't have radiant weapon on a gauntlet and enhanced weapon on the other? Also why wouldn't dual wielder work? The gauntlets are simple weapons...
Dual Wielder would work for the gauntlets. What it won’t do is let you put one infusion on one gauntlet and another infusion on another gauntlet. And Dual Wielder would only work for the Thunder Gauntlets, not the Lightning Launchers.
"You learn how to use your artificer infusions to specially modify your Arcane Armor. That armor now counts as separate items for the purposes of your Infuse Items feature: armor (the chest piece), boots, helmet, and the armor's special weapon"
I think that the singular use of "weapon" means that the special weapon (whether it's the Thunder Gauntlets or Lightning Launcher) is considered a single weapon for the purpose of infusions. You cannot infuse the Gauntlets as individual weapons, rather, you can infuse the Special Weapon with a single Infusion, and it uses the same infusion regardless of what Model your armor is set to.
So I can't have radiant weapon on a gauntlet and enhanced weapon on the other? Also why wouldn't dual wielder work? The gauntlets are simple weapons...
Dual Wield will work. You'll need to make sure to wield them, so hold them and slap people with them, like you're challenging people to duels the old-fashioned way.
Whether or not you can infuse the weapons separately depends on whether or not you've reached Artificer 9. At Artificer 9, as Transmorpher pointed out, the gauntlets will count as a single item for infusion purposes, which would mean both are radiant or both[1] are enhanced, but you can't give them distinct infusions. Prior to Artificer 9, each gauntlet counts as a distinct weapon for all purposes, including infusing as weapons.
[1] There is no rule specifying that a suit of armor has 0, 1, 2, 3, or any other number of gauntlets. It is common and typical for PCs and DMs to assume that the number is 2 if you have a human-like body shape, but especially if you have a body shape where more than 2 "gauntlets" might be a thing - e.g. Aarakocra, Loxodon, Simic Hybrid, Lizardfolk, or Tiefling - it's worth taking a step back on the assumption that you have 2 gauntlets.
Dual Wielder would work for the gauntlets. What it won’t do is let you put one infusion on one gauntlet and another infusion on another gauntlet. And Dual Wielder would only work for the Thunder Gauntlets, not the Lightning Launchers.
I would think it would work for the Lightning Launchers as long as you chose to have the nodes appear on each hand.

You only get one node, and dual wielding doesn’t work with ranged attacks.

I'd disagree with the bolded part. Prior to level 9, the gauntlets are considered part of the armor and not a distinct item. So any infusion applied to the armor would apply to the gauntlets if appropriate.
"Arcane Armor
3rd-level Armorer feature
Your metallurgical pursuits have led to you making armor a conduit for your magic. As an action, you can turn a suit of armor you are wearing into Arcane Armor, provided you have smith’s tools in hand.
You gain the following benefits while wearing this armor:
If the armor normally has a Strength requirement, the arcane armor lacks this requirement for you.
You can use the arcane armor as a spellcasting focus for your artificer spells.
The armor attaches to you and can’t be removed against your will. It also expands to cover your entire body, although you can retract or deploy the helmet as a bonus action. The armor replaces any missing limbs, functioning identically to a limb it replaces.
You can doff or don the armor as an action.
The armor continues to be Arcane Armor until you don another suit of armor or you die."
"Thunder Gauntlets. Each of the armor’s gauntlets counts as a simple melee weapon while you aren’t holding anything in it, and it deals 1d8 thunder damage on a hit."
So, at least for an armorer, the gauntlet's are considered part of the armor and would thus share whatever invocation is applied.
The difficulty might be in applying the Enhanced Weapon invocation.
"Enhanced Weapon
Item: A simple or martial weapon
This magic weapon grants a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it.
The bonus increases to +2 when you reach 10th level in this class."
This invocation can only be applied to a simple or martial weapon. However, the gauntlets/lightning launcher of the arcane armor ARE considered a simple or martial weapon. However, prior to 9th level they are considered part of the armor in terms of applying invocations. I interpret this as restricting the armor/gauntlets to one invocation prior to level 9 so that an Armorer could apply either Enhanced Armor to the armor or Enhanced Weapon to the gauntlets (as part of the armor) but not to both at the same time (before level 9).
One thing that isn't clear is whether invocations applied to the arcane armor are retained when you change the form of the armor between guardian and infiltrator. This is specifically noted as part of the level 9 feature and I would have thought it would have worked that way prior to level 9 (eg. armor with enhanced armor invocation retains it when changed between guardian and infiltrator over a short rest) but the rules don't seem to list it explicitly.

Emphasis mine. The gauntlets are explicitly distinct weapons from each other.
