Firbolg are really awesome, strength/wis is an interesting stat combo that lets them perform as fighters, barbarians, druids, clerics and such, i like ogier from Wheel of Time, and I feel like they're so ripe for expansion in new and different settings. In my setting, they're the primary race for my polynesian/island folk and win out over goliath as my favorite psuedo-giant race.
My third ever character I made is a Firbolg! When I saw them in Volos I fell in love with their look!!!! He grew up in a village of druids but didn't want to be a Druid because he longed for adventure. He still wanted to protect nature and everyone like the druids could so he is a fighter with battle master and protection! He uses his superiority dice to aide his friends.
Thats pretty cool, what do you imagine firbomg villages to be like? Mine are pretty much pacific islander types whom have a faith based around keeping the cosmic forces that direct the gods in harmony.

MIne are very simple druids. A lot of meditating and being one with nature. Most of the time the leaders take on noble looking wildshape and watch over the village. Not a huge amount of them either. Maybe 20-40 max in village. They I believe in mine revere Habakkuk and Chislev, to honor both, most adorn a blue bird feather somewhere. Very secluded in the forest and Very hard to find unless you know exactly where you are going. Master druids change appearance to elf to do trade for necessities to wood elves, not wild though,. :)
What I want to hear is how people play a kenku. If I could get out of the DM seat I would try to play one, but it has so many challenges involved socially.
There's a Goliath Paladin in the group I DM, and he seems to be enjoying the race thus far. I've always been a big Kenku fan, and Lizardfolk are also a joy, in my opinion.

"For every moment of truth, there's confusion in life."
I'm a DM but one of my players loves the Kenku because of their dialogue limitation. We've been playing as a group for quite a while now and everyone understands what he mean whenever he says some random phrase though he personally loves to quote TV and movies
I love the Aasimar personally, Especially if you have a really engaging DM who makes good use of the whole 'guardian angel' personality.
I have a Kenku rogue that I rolled as a challenge, since I have a habit of being one of the more... Enthusiastic RPers of my group. It let me take a backseat to the other players in my group, and I do enjoy essentially chiming in with the occasional catchphrase or non-sequitur.
I haven't played a whole lot of races beyond humans and fey types, but in my game where I lead a bunch of new players that also drink a lot when playing. And the Orc and the Tabaxi player is a hoot to watch them go through the hurdles I throw at them. Both have a double move feature that is pretty good, the Orc is a Fighter with 20str and effectively 60ft movement and he basically decimated strong opponents in the first round.
Im currently playing a Fire Genasi Eldritch Knight and its a lot of fun. He's a fun loving warmhearted guy and I love him. I try to play him as a well meaning but clueless foreigner who doesn't understand customs, but wants to so bad.
I'm a huge fan of the Firbolg and have played one three times now. Not sure what it is that captures me about them, but from their visual design to the lore around them, I just find them super interesting.

I'm just glad that there's finally a race with +2 Wisdom.

Hello, world!
I also voted for Tabaxi. I wonder if WotC will apply a filter for the races page, where we can narrow the races based on the source they come from.
Respect for All. Hate for none. Be Strong Inside.
mines a tie between kenku and aarakocra. both are races i have characters in mind for.
I'll vote when the Tortle is officially stated :P
