I like this. I think my crafting player will like this. I had to make rules on the fly because I skimmed all the crafting stuff when beginning my mechanics intake and was like “crafting? your an adventurer with like 4 hours of game time… I’ll get you loot but…okay… I totally understand cause if I was a badass Hunter elf I would totally make armor out of the things I killed.”
Yeah honestly the fact you NEED to be a caster and know the spell is also ridiculous since you're basically (for the most part) making medicine to either treat ailments or making the body react to the concoction. Like how you inject adrenaline in order for people to deal with anaphylactic shock. Which you can translate that into the haste spell do to how it affects the body in similar ways. As long your trained in alchemy or whatever skill is related to potions all you need to is your proficiency mod + wis or int mod.

Dgmg does specify that potions cost half the crafting gold cost of the traditional iteams of its level
