Well guys, I think it is possible in 5 ed, but in previous editions you needed to ready an action to do it, so...here is the scenario:
The ranger casts silence at the monsters feet, the monster uses his reaction to cast counterspell and counter the silence; then the Warlock uses his reaction to cast counterspell at the counterspell of the monster.
Casting Counterspell consumes your reaction. You only get one reaction until the start of your next turn so, unless there are more spellcasters around the chain of counterspell ends after the Warlock casts his Counterspell to invalidate the monster's Counterspell.
My understanding is that it's a new site feature to allow cross-linking to things like that. I haven't tried it but they may be doing it automatically behind the scenes?
A way to prevent your counterspell from being counterspelled is to cast it from a higher level spell slot. If they do not have an equal, or higher level spell slot than the one you used (or they are unwilling to use that high spell slot) they cannot counter yours.

The can - it's just a chance. If I cast Counterspell as a 6th level slot, and you cast it as a 3rd to counter it, then you need to roll to see if you are successful. The DC varies based on the level of the slot used.

Would it be possible to counter a counter?
Check out the many mes here!
Sure you can.

But can you counterspell a counterspell's counterspell?
I never realised that this was possible. Pretty funny.

Silly question, maybe...
How did you guys get the text counterspell to show a popup of the spell?
thanks

Testing:
Counterspell (just typed)
Counterspell (manually linked)
I found it. You type this:
Without the stuff about code. just the brackets and spell
You type {spell}Nameofspell{/spell}
With brackets instead
Same for magicitems, monsters, and conditions

Getting it, didn't read everything, just started typing :)
