I'm curious about anybody else's theory-crafting a level 20 build to get as many cantrips as possible. 45 out of 46 from officially published 2014 rules compatible sources:
Background: Prismari Student which gives the Strixhaven Initiate feat (CHA) (2)
Unless I've missed an int boost, you would need to get your int to 13 before taking levels in wizard or artificer, but easy enough to do dropping something else.

Would be incredibly ineffective in gameplay.
The same would apply for Ranger as it has a DEX & WIS 13 requirement.

Oversight on my part from jumping back and forth between screens and putting together this thread.

You're completely right. Once I had all the spells in I started playing with the ability scores to get the main stats to pack a little more punch and completely forgot about the multiclass requirements. Original post has been corrected, though I had to butcher the CON.

I think in a realistic character you'd just sacrifice 2 points of either Wis or Cha to pump up CON by 4 but I doubt anybody would go this far just to have near every cantrip. You only need 1 attribute to be making the attack rolls/saving throw DCs with in real play and given 4 levels of Warlock that'd probably be a lot of Eldritch Blast.

Especially with taking Agonizing Blast for the extra damage on EB.
I agree that this is not a realistic build. Just scratching an itch to theory-craft. I'd seen years old posts in random places on the web from years back about being able to get near 40 cantrips with different builds. Some of the newer subclasses and of course the Strixhaven background got the bump up to 42 without items. With 2024 rules allowing multiple Magic Initiate feats make getting as many cantrips easier.

The only missing cantrip from an official 2014 rules compatible book is Sapping Sting which is only available for Chronurgy and Graviturgy wizards.
Had to make a google sheet to keep track of everything. My test character: Cantrip Mann.
