I was thinking about an upcoming plot in my campaign where a villain magically enchants the players to do tasks for them without them realizing. Is there a high-level spell similar to Power Word: Kill or Power Word: Stun where the spellcaster can tell a creature to do a task and they do it, no save offered?
You don't need a spell to exist, you are the DM andand this is an NPC so it can just have a magic ability that you invent.
Do beware of impacting player agency. You wouldn't want them walking down the street then you say "you suddenly lose control of your body and punch the friendly wizard". Perhaps the spell takes effect in the middle of each long rest - the players black out for an hour and when they come to there are clues that they have been doing something.
It could be an interesting plot hook, but you do need to ensure the players can find ways to counter it - counter/dispel magics, alarms or manacles to keep their sleeping selves contained, things they can do to clear their names of their unconscious crimes, etc.
I think the default is that if a spell effects you, you know it. This would need to be a very powerful, unique homebrew effect/item/artifact. And as a player, I’d get tired of it real quick. I could see it working one time as a hook, as regent suggests, but no more than that without saving throws.
l agree with the above posts, but as for what you were asking, there is no "power word:command" but as the dm,you could just take the normal command spell and make it a higher level and remove the saveing throw. Though for balance l would recommend keeping the one word limit, cause its "power word" not "power paragraph". Also obviously it would be unable to harm/kill the target, cause the only power word spell that should be able to kill is "PW:K"
A charm effect combined with an effect that modifies their memory could be sufficient to make them forget that they had a spell cast on them. Say, combining Geas with Modify Memory, could leave the player with an urgent drive to do something and a strange wasting illness that they feel is somehow connected, without them realizing that anything was cast on them?

Not that I can think of. I doubt WotC would even write such a spell. The closest I can think of would be either Geas, or Wish itself.

A spell that can do that would remove too much player agency. Therefore, it would not be printed.
