so my idea is this, let me know if it is ok and if i got it right. i check and i think of taking 11EK/9Bladesinger that way i can cast shadowblade in 5th lvl and it will do 4d8, since attacking with it counts as a simple melee weapon it will trigger the EAs + plus the action surge it will do 6 attacks with the shadow blade. since EK can take spells from the wizard class, does this work the way I think or I am missing something?
Really trying to make the bladesinger more of a melee character then just a wizard with a high ac.
It wouldn’t really have anything to do with the EK being able to take their spells from the Wizard list. A 9th level Bladesinger can cast 5th level spells. The way Multiclassing works, that alone is enough to cast the spell at 5th level.
The EK doesn’t care where the weapon came from, their Extra Attacks are completely agnostic to the source of the weapon. You could honestly take any Fighter subclass and this would work.
The issue with this build is the fact that you would severely limit yourself on a lot of stuff. The Extra Attack from level 5 of Bladesinger will be wasted, and you will have severely limited your spell progression. Action Surge is awesome, but you have to take a nap every time you use it to recharge it. I might honestly consider a maximum 3 level dip into Arcane Trickster to pump up the Bladesinger for melee.
EK is an awkward subclass, since its class features encourage you to not use the improved Extra Attack feature that's available to a Fighter. Action Surge is nice on spellcasters, but that box has been ticked by level 2. The level 7 feature is a straight up improvement of the Attack Action if you don't have other Bonus Actions to use and if you don't have three or more attacks for an Attack Action (which a Fighter does at 11). So.... awkward.
If you're set on multiclassing these two classes, I think you get decent melee combatant enhancement at Fighter 7, and can stop there (the bonus feat at Fighter 6 has kept you on full ASI progression), or go to 8 to get that ASI that's just within reach. 13 levels of Wizard will give you the ability to cast a 7th level spell, which isn't bad because you only ever get one 8th or 9th level slot anyway so you aren't giving up that much in reality to have played 20 levels of a character with Action Surge the entire time.
But truly, playing a pure Bladesinger or a Fighter 3/Bladesinger 17 should be more than sufficient for your purposes.
Then again... I'm seeing now that what you're specifically interested in is making a ton of attacks with Shadow Blade.
If that's what you're interested in, then I think your build is decent. If you just took Fighter to 20, you would be making 4 attacks per attack action, 8 attacks with an Action Surge, and possibly a 9th attack if you've cast Haste on yourself (which you won't have access to until 13th level, at which point you have 3 attacks per attack action/6 with Action Surge). You also have two uses of Action Surge, instead of one. However, you'll only have one 4th level spell slot, so your spellcasting is very limited.
Your build has three 4th level spell slots, in addition to some 5th and 6th level slots (caster equivalent level of 12 on this table), and makes 3 attacks per attack action, 6 attacks with an Action Surge, and possibly a 7th attack if you've cast Haste. One-two fewer attacks per round and one fewer Action Surge seems like it could be a pretty good tradeoff for having so many more spell slots, improved AC, improved speed, improved concentration... you've actually picked up quite a bit.
Alternatively, you might consider Hunter 4/Fighter 2/Wizard 14, which will give you a caster equivalent of 16 (enough for 8th level spell slots, though only enough Wizard levels for 7th level spells learned). This will sometimes let you attack three times per attack action/five per action surge/six if under Haste, which is almost as good as what you're describing. You won't have the EK's bonus action attack after casting Cantrips, but that's not what you're focusing on from what I understand. It should not be difficult to have a 13 in Wisdom and still keep up 20 Dex, 20 Intelligence, with decent Constitution (or a little less Dex, if you want Warcaster or something)... and you'll gain the benefit of unlocking the +Int damage feature of Bladesinger that you currently aren't reaching, which bumps your DPR up quite a bit.
THAT is my recommendation if you're interested in making lots of Shadow Blade attacks as a Bladesinger: Hunter 4/Fighter 2/Bladesinger 14.

I'm going to make this way harder than it needs to be.
