I have a question on the interaction of Arcane Jolt and critical hits, the ability states: "
When either you hit a target with a magic weapon attack or your steel defender hits a target, you can channel magical energy through the strike to create one of the following effects:
The target takes an extra 2d6 force damage.
Choose one creature or object you can see within 30 feet of the target. Healing energy flows into the chosen recipient, restoring 2d6 hit points to it."
Assuming that damage applies like a Smite, would healing interact with a critical as it keys off an attack?
Critical Hits only apply to damage. You are not rolling to heal have a completely separate roll for the amount of healing, so I am going to say no to "Critical Healing".
I would rule that the force damage can crit, just like with a Paladin's Smite.
Same. I don't really have anything to add, I just wanted to add an extra vote to this interpretation.

I will apply a third vote to this interpretation, as I agree that is how it should be interpreted.
