so s**t hit the fan in my campaign and I just remembered I have a wish pearl.... though it’s black and it’s also cracked a bit so I’ve been hesitant to use it. But my character has been forced into a corner. Also I have a senchia (gods tear) dagger any suggestions??
Lol just wanted to see what everyone else would wish for. My character will probably wish that his party gets teleported out of a certain precarious situation.
If it were me (and it's not), I'd consider wishing for a change in the scenario from stuff-hitting-the-fan to a safe situation, even if problematic. At the least, we could recover as long as we were safe and deal with the new problems once we recovered. Teleporting to a safe location, specific location if possible, would probably be what I'd try. To me, simply salvaging ourselves would be my primary focus. I wouldn't try to get greedy. That's usually when things get far worse.

Human. Male. Possibly. Don't be a divider. My characters' backgrounds are written like instruction manuals rather than stories. My opinion and preferences don't mean you're wrong. I am 99.7603% convinced that the digital dice are messing with me. I roll high when nobody's looking and low when anyone else can see.🎲 “It's a bit early to be thinking about an epitaph. No?” will be my epitaph.
Make it rain! A torrential downpour of Gold coins falling from the sky for 10 minutes will either distract your opponents or knock them unconscious, and if worse comes to worse you get to die rich.
but seriously, I had a sadistic DM back in the day that made me swear off wishes forever. If that’s your only way out then.... Maybe just wished to be rescued by a more powerful, Good aligned party
If the wish pearl is broken and dangerous, offer it as ransom to whoever has you in the corner. They let you go and get the monkey paw curse wish themselves.
Does the wish pearl just give you a free casting of Wish? You can use Wish for it's more straightforward use, duplicating the effect of a level 8 or lower spell. I'm sure there's plenty L8 spells that could make a huge difference to the situation, without risking poor interpretation by the DM.

I played one character recently who was a 17 year old kid, and I had a lot of fun just now thinking of him un-ironically wishing for wealth and fame just to see how it blows up in his face.

I suggest giving more details otherwise you will just get generic, irrelevant, or smart @$$ answers (like this one).

Wish for a Deck of Many Things. Really just turn this whole thing from a FusterCluck into an Epic FusterCluck
Watch Crits for Breakfast, an adults-only RP-Heavy Roll20 Livestream at twitch.tv/afterdisbooty
And now you too can play with the amazing art and assets we use in Roll20 for our campaign at Hazel's Emporium
Lol that sounds hilarious
You should wish for a Divine Mentor (or DM for short) to tell you how to get out of this situation.
