Based on the D&D Next Playtest, what they typically do is drop early iterations of a few things they're changing, get feedback, and then give us enough to actually test the game as a whole. If they're sticking to the "ONE will run on the chassis of 5e," there's a lot less overall, and the playtest is mostly about class balance, subsystems, and whatever "new stuff" they want to add.
If I was a betting man, I'd bet fighter, wizard, and warlock. Because dollars to donuts; barbarian, druid, paladin, sorcerer, and possibly a revised bard (and rogue?) will be coming out in March - right before the movie that features those characters.
It's pretty typical to hit the "Core 4" pretty early in a playtest. They may drop the rogue in with the fighter and wizard, and hold the warlock for later, along with whatever new class they're thinking about adding.
Kyle Brink has at least confirmed in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPHirlVGkKM) that yes they are delaying due to recent events to get constructive feedback, and that likely each playtest will have more in it so they can catch up on the schedule.
Would still really like a post on this site confirming that with some details around when the next one is coming and what it might contain.
Didn't they say that there will be a new playtest "every month"?
They said "Every month or so."
Maybe they meant martian month? One year on Mars takes 687 martian days, so a month would be 57 days. Though we're past that schedule, too. Jupiter month, then?..

the fact that there is no new UA or even an ETA on a new UA tells me that there is a dealy.
When I first heard that they had only released the cleric in this packet, I got nervous for the pally and the druid. It was like, okay, why don't they want us to see these? You'd think with the OGL debacle behind us that they would want to give the community something else to talk about. I think my fears may have been justified. Why else would they put this on hold for so long? The only reason would be that they fear angering the community again.

No, it's almost certainly a sign of development problems. Which isn't a great sign for the ability to put out a quality product on schedule, but doesn't have much to do with 'angering the community'.

A month isn’t measured as a 12th of a year, it’s measured by the lunar cycle. Mars has 2 moons, and I have no idea what their cycles are, so for all we know they’re still on schedule. 🤷♂️😜😂😂

No, that would be much worse -- their periods are 7.66 hours and 30.31 hours. The only remotely significant moon in the solar system with a period longer than 29 days is Iapetus.

On Earth - yes, it's lunar cycle, but as far as I know, on Mars and other planets a month is indeed 1/12th of a year or 30 degrees of its orbit. The reason for that is not only convenience, it's also because some planets may have multiple moons, and some may have none.

That’s just boring. And I believe incorrect if I recall. But I haven’t taken 9th grade astronomy in a loo—oong time.
Sounds like next playtest will be next couple of days with another one in April, shifting to every couple of months but bigger playtests - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pthoCnUUcHQ

What if they were measuring it by Cruithne instead...🤔

BoringBard's long and tedious posts somehow manage to enrapture audiences. How? Because he used Charm Person, the #1 bard spell!
He/him pronouns. Call me Bard. PROUD NERD!

What about their INHOUSE playtesters. Maybe have a twitch or YouTube Playtest.

Now, that the whole OGL thing has settle down a bit, I hope we get a new UA the next week or at least until the end of month.
