Thanks. I saw that one, but the last reply was from almost 2 years ago. A lot has happened since then, but I'm guessing not spell points. Thanks again.
To be honest - not all that much has happened since then. Not from an outside perspective anyway. It's mostly just been new content because WotC have been releasing new books like crazy.
Most of the updates have been behind the scenes reworking things to make future updates possible - so who knows - maybe optional features could be on the horizon soon. For now you'll just have to homebrew an inelegant workaround.
I gave instructions on how to Homebrew it fairly recently to someone. (For me, “fairly recently” would be since New Years.) It isn’t hard, just tedious. It’s an action with limited uses that scale at certain levels, and the player has to track everything manually. So on top of being tedious to make it’s worse to use. An integrated one would be so much simpler.
Yes, most of their updates have been behind the scenes stuff for a couple years, but with the updates that have already happened since most of that backend stuff was updated, plus the other updates we know are happening, I anticipate a much faster rate of patches and updates than people expect.
I would love to run the optional rules for Spell Points (to replace Spell Slots). Is this doable in D&D Beyond or would it have to be done manually?

Gosh I wish. It’s the easiest way to “fix” sorcerers IMO.
