We already have enough areas of alphabetizing-priority sorting in the books and the default listing. When I go to "Wizard spells", for example, it's usually to take a look at what options open up for the next level of spells available for a character, so I'd like that already arranged. :)
Presenting the spell listing by class per level, and then put them all in alphabetical order in the description section never made sense for me in the books.
I actually like alphabetical. Level is how it is categorized in the 1978 edition and I can’t find ANY spells! I would only say level if on the list of spells they wrote say the level of the spell.
That said, I’d like to have a sort by type of spell (abjuration, divination, nercomancy, etc.). It would be helpful especially for wizards, because I can’t quite find conjuration spells for my conjuration wizard.

My name is Sakura, I am a halfling- donut hybrid that is true neutral. I am learning French but am still influent, and speak English fluently. My hobbies include: reading, writing, dungeons and dragons, drawing, and listening to Dames and Dragons. I play both player and DM roles.
How odd. I can. I just go under the Game Menu, choose "spells" and under "advanced filters" select "Conjuration". The list comes up alphabetically automatically. I don't know that posting in a thread in which the last post was 4 years ago is all that useful, but it's not always easy to find stuff, and the "advanced filters" aren't all that obvious. Welcome to 5th edition. :-)

For the new pre-filtered spell pages by class, and by spell school, what pre-sorting would you like to see as a default?

I'm all for level sorting.

FILTARRZZZ!
I love filters. More filters! MOAR!
Wait, what was this thread about again? Oh, PRE-sorting. Well, level, then alphabetical, naturally.
And more filters... FOR EVERYTHING!
Levels first, it makes it much easier when looking for “new” spells when you level up
How do you get a one-armed goblin out of a tree?
Wave!
I like my spells filtered by class, then spell level, then name of spell.

Class-level-alphabet for me as well.

*taps the vote*
Is this thing working? Is this really going 100% towards one side?
Hey, I even voted for that choice myself. Just wanted to make sure I had a majority before I changed it today :)

I changed my vote, just because the poll option looked so lonely.

The /spells/class/<> and /spells/school/<> have been updated to be pre-sorted by level and then name.
Thanks!

I can remove that vote for the first option if we reeeeeaaaaaly want it to look like we all agree. :P

Wary the wizard who focuses on homebrew, for he can create nightmares that you wouldn't even dream of
Is there any chance this could be the default on the generic "all spells" page as well?
