I'm seeing some disappointment that it's a Feywild Adventure not a sourcebook. I think it they do it on the Scale of Avernus or Rime of the Frostmaiden, and wedge in some character options, I can see it being s sort of double duty adventure/sourcebook. Strixhaven was talked about as a possibility on this board before. I was sort of "meh" about what I've seen of it, but I guess WotC does have that MtG synergy mandate. Folks are also "what about three classic worlds" ... let's remember that comment was made about hardbacks appearing of the next two years. Plenty of time in 2022 to get Dragonlance or Daurgothoth's Draconic Ditherings (actually no, TM Midnightplat that last one, forthcoming 2023 Headcanon Press).

Cool! I was hoping for an Aberration focused adventure, but Fey definitely deserve a book. I'm not so sure about Strixhaven. The M:tG lore for it wasn't super interesting to me.

A fool pulls the leaves. A brute chops the trunk. A sage digs the roots.
I would buy a Fey Source book, but I don't have any interest in published adventure books. Maybe there will be some good Fey Wild info in the next source book or campaign setting book. Strixhaven and M:tg cross overs in general are a pass for me as well. I am sure there are plenty of fans out there that will buy both of these books though.
I will admit I'm also a bit disappointed that the Feywild book is an adventure book instead of a setting/source book, but I agree with Mightnight that it could be more along the line of RotF or BGDIA.
I'm actually interested in Strixhaven though, and am curious what monsters and character options we will be getting from the book. I'm also hoping for a neat mechanic like the Peity system from Theros or the expanded Backgrounds from Ravnica. We could maybe even get some new spells, due to Strixhaven's theme being a magical school.

I'd much rather a setting book for the Feywild than an adventure book too, but 5e books tend to jam a lot of things together so I'm sure there will be some sort of gazetteer within. My only frame of reference for Feywild adventures was in Pathfinder: Kingmaker so I do have hopes that the 5e team can craft something unique and interesting if that's the standard.
I have zero interest in MtG.
If WotC is really only releasing two more D&D books this year, then 2021 feels like a lackluster year for D&D... I thought they said they were going to start cranking more books out? I guess 2022?
I'm not at all surprised about the Feywild adventure, but I would have thought that it would be a "Neverwinter: Into the Feywild" type of book.
I didn't guess Strixhaven at all. Interesting. I'm not really disappointed, more intrigued as to how often they're going to release M:tG setting books from here on out. Will it be one every year now?

Please check out my homebrew, I would appreciate feedback:
Hmph. I suppose the writing was on the wall a bit; what with “Tasha’s Cauldron” being a bit of a precursor for Feywild shenanigans...much like ‘ol Xanathar heralding the “Waterdeep” books.
I am tentatively interested...guessing that the “witch” may refer to Baba Yaga. We’ll see.
While I like some Fey creatures...blink dogs, Eladrin, red caps, darklings and such...mostly, it isn’t the first setting I would choose for adventure.
And that’s alright! Mostly it’s because I know little lore regarding the Feywild in D&D...it seems to be mostly hags, pixies, animals, Eladrin, and Fomorr.
I welcome the opportunity for new content.
If they’re adding any new subclasses, though...the fey-theme is a bit filled-up, isn’t it?

we know their will also be two other setting books. One of which is most likely planescape.
All I know is that I'm going to play the hell out of this adventure. Playing in a Feywild Campaign has been at the top of my wishlist since the days of 4th Edition.
Am I the only one that thinks they are making too many books per year?
these are adventures they hardly count.
Plus 4e and 3.5 had the dragon magazine more less 1/6 of a book which released every week(and they released sourcebooks proper monthly and often faster).

Guess the Feywilds book will also feature any of the fey UA character races that passed playtesting (fairy, rabbitfolk, owlfolk, fey hobgoblin).
Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
Looks like the Feywild book cover may have leaked
Interesting. That's absolutely different from what I expected. That looks a lot like the Carnival from Ravenloft.

Between that and the Fantasy Grounds logo, I'm not convinced that it's the actual cover.

Same cover on Sage Advice, for what it's worth
sounds fun!
Am I the only one that thinks they are making too many books per year?
Given that they were releasing 2-3 books per month and sometimes more in 3.5's heyday, no.

Hmmm, could be a bit more magical realism à la Night Circus?
