I believe they stated the dragonlance bundle is a test of how best to do physical/digital bundles with the goal to roll out the program through their distribution partners and I imagine their preferred resellers. I don't see this to be universal where second hand stores will have an easy way to access the WOTC network tools though. It's a complicated process that requires their affiliates to sign revised contracts, integrating into a variety of POS systems to capture that information and send it to WOTC which yet another set of legal contracts. The wheels of big business move slowly, especially when having to work with a multitude of partners to make a secure and seamless product integration. If their big test is dragonlance in Fall 2022, then I imagine a full and complete rollout by 2024 just in time for One D&Ds release sounds like a decent enough timeline for those product launches.
It depends on how popular they are. In Britain, I don't see them taking off because it's cheaper to get them serpately, albeit marginally. How they're doing it doesn't seem like they couldn't implement it via FLGSs though - normal books as they already do, then sealed books with codes for the bundles.
I'm not sure how popular it will be long term. I don't know about American markets, but it's not economical here - there'd actually have to be a discount to tempt me.

How will the physical-digital bundles impact brick-n-mortar stores? Seems to be potentially very negative for FLGSs.
