So, I love the character sheet in DND Beyond. I live by it. I love how it sorts Action into all the available actions and which power or feature falls under it. What I love most is the Armor Class calculation breakdown that comes with clicking on it. That is really helpful to see how it all comes together especially when you aren't sure what would stack and what would not.
So, what I was wondering, could that be added to the general Attack numbers as well? Since the option to click them with the dice system is available, maybe make it something that displays on a hover-over call or maybe only shows when you have Dice Rolling turned off then it shows upon clicking there.
This specifically came to mind with this character, https://www.dndbeyond.com/profile/DarkKaioken/characters/6238947. He has the Circlet of Blasting that gives Scorching Ray as an option with a +5 to attack for a total Attack bonus of +10 according to the sheet. However, adding any of casting ability modifiers (WIS, INT, CHA) on this character, none add up to a +10 in any way. So, being able to see what is added together would be really helpful in scenarios like this where I'm sure I'm not the only person to ever come across this when they get new magical weapon or item. :)
So, just something I was wondering about and hope can be considered in a future update. This character page can be the only thing players need to play their character and it's on its way there. I look forward to playing all my D&D sessions using just your site and I know of others who are ready to throw money at such an option.

Thanks for such a great system and feature.
Oh I didn't even notice the armor class break down, that is nice.
As for your Scorching Ray, what makes things a little confusing is that D&DBeyond will put cantrips and stuff under "attacks" when they are spells.
If you click on Spells you willl see that your Spell Attack is +10 (for any spells that you roll "to hit"). So it is using that. Each class has a defined ability for spell attack, for a bard it is charisma +6 you have and then add your proficiency of +4.
Gotcha. That's what I thought, but where does the +5 to attack come in that the Circlet of Blasting specifically give to the attack?
My assumption is that if you were to cast Scorching Ray on your own, it would be your spell casting based on only you casting and launching the spell, but since Circlet of Blasting is actually doing so, it does it better than you would, ie. the Circlet is casting the spell at your command. Would that make it a +15 then since, by yours and my math, that is not included in the +10. Or is it just the Circlet casting the spell so it doesn't take in consideration your spell casting making it ONLY +5 to your attack roll.

You might have already picked it up from that thread, but yeah it's just d20+5 to hit. It's an uncommon item which makes it equivalent to a fairly low-level caster. Any higher level magic user would be better at casting magic than the circlet.
Has this feature been added? I only use mobile so unsure if PC has features I'm not seeing. I want to make sure my calculations are correct and I'm not missing anything as two of my fighting features should be one combo, and I'm tempted to homebrew the action rather than select each feature for 1 whole action during play. Just feels wrong doing 2 things for 1 action. But I want to see the breakdown of the 2 aren't overlapping any bonuses as well. Thanks!

Apparently they cant make the items apply the +5 bonus to one spell only.

Interesting. So this has been a thing since 2017. It's was even using the same class in that case as me. Thanks.
