Hi, I looked at the page for Vecna eve of ruin. I preordered the book back in febuary. Yesterday the page said I would get the book on the 7th now it's saying I'll get it on the regular release date is this a mistake or is this just a normal thing?
I don't remember the specific phrasing for Vecna, and I deleted the email, but normally early release is just for digital+physical, not digital-only.
If you got the bundle, then I'm not sure. Speak to customer services.
Don't get me started on my opinion on DDB withholding products that are ready to release in the hopes of pressuring an upgrade.

I agree. I thought I was getting this early, and that's the main reason I preordered it digitally. I'll still play it, because it looks like a good adventure, but I won't be pre-ordering digital books anymore.

The only reason to pre-order digital books here is to get ~$10.00 off of a book that you wee going to end up getting anyway.

Early access is for digital + physical bundles and physical copies sold through select stores. Just digital pre-order doesn't grant early access
I too purchased the digital because AT THE TIME when I preordered it it DID say that it was available for early access on the 7th. After the update to the marketplace this has been removed. Fine. Point me to where I CAN preorder what I need to preorder in order to get access on the 7th (other than a local store as there isn't one within 3 hours of me).
If I go to dndstore.wizards it tells me I can get early access. Fantastic, that's exactly what I want. Except, I live in the US so it won't let me purchase it from that website. SO, if I go to marketplace.dndbeyond the option of getting early access simply does not exist, it's not there. It only shows that it's available on the 21st.
So. exactly where, what link, what website, can I go to to purchase it to ensure that I do have early access?

Yeah, the only reason I preordered the digital copy through DnD Beyond was because of the promise of early release. I swear it said 5/7 release when I pre-ordered it. I can't believe they would have the balls to go back on that after they already listed it on the page when it was purchased. I'm hoping they make good on that or I might have to stop using DnD Beyond and giving this company my money every month.
Non-US customers will. Because the WotC store - which US customers can no longer use - still promotes this early access for digital and bundle preorders.

I just saw on another thread that those who pre-ordered the digital version before the marketplace switch will still get early access as promised.
Hopefully, only time will tell. Wonder if we will have to contact CS to get it like our piece meal purchase credit, not worth my time if that is the case.

What happens if I placed a preorder before the marketplace change?
Your order is safe and sound! If you preordered a bundle containing both physical and digital items, you can still find your order on our partner site. Additionally, your content will unlock on the scheduled early access date. For all other digital purchases, you can check your Order History in the marketplace to find the latest status.

That's not quite what was claimed - that's for the bundle. Thanks for digging it out, though.

Oh right, sorry. Aye, the early access is only for the bundle. It has never been advertised early access for digital only. I thought Rolen just misspoke (or mistyped, as it were).

When I pre-ordered the digital only version before the marketplace switch, it 100% stated that early access was one of the perks. I know this because it was the only reason that I pre-ordered. As far as the thread that had a post claiming that early access would still be fulfilled? I don't know, I can't seem to find it now. I don't know for sure if it was legit I can just say that it was a thread on this site and the comment was posted by what looked to be an admin or Dnd employee. Maybe I was mistaken and they were just talking about digital + physical.
I guess we'll see but I most definitely want a refund on my pre-order if early access is not granted AS PROMISED. It's not that I need it now or anything, it's more based on principal. I purchased this product under false pretenses created by the seller and I wouldn't have purchased it from here otherwise.
I must add I pre-ordered (digital only) I understood that I could get early access. Now, I would not have pre-ordered if I do not get early access. There is no advantage to pre-ordering if there is no early access. I may as well wait and see how the books are reviewed and received.
I feel WoTC is breaking their word here.

Did you order physical+digital or just digital?

Looking at the Marketplace: https://marketplace.dndbeyond.com/category/vecna-eve-of-ruin?pid=SRC-00134&Digital%2FPhysical=Digital
The Digital only pre-order says release in ~19 days from now. So I'm going to guess no on getting it "early."
Just digital

US Customers will not get early digital access. D&D Beyond is not offering this and it is confirmed to be intended by community manager in this thread: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/bugs-support/196761-cant-preorder-the-vecna-digital-physical-bundle
