Nothing perfect but I'm genuinely eager and preordered from lgs a copy of Handbook. Anyone else excited? I wanna see some general comments that see the good and fun side of the spoiled rules.
I'm curious to see the changes for myself and to se show the play. Honestly, a couple of the things they did since announcing kinda killed the excitement for me. Still, I daresay the day I get the books I'll read them cover to cover 🙂

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.

I'm actually interested in reading dm guide but I can't afford 120$ in books right now so I'll just get the main book my library will likely buy DM Guide and MM so that's helpful
I'm keen, and pre-order the digital copies of everything. I also closely followed the UA process, and did every single survey, so I've been invested the whole time. I'm not super keen on everything that seems to have made it through, but in general it seems like big improvements!

Well nothing is perfect but I'm actually fine with Ranger I feel it fixes 2014.
I'm excited for the player changes and really looking forward to what is supposed to be a totally revamped DMG. Of course I don't love everything but in general I think there are a lot of positives.
I'm excited. Not sure if or how I'll switch to the 2024 rules or whether I'll pick and choose but I like the new classes and subclasses and a lot of the other stuff revealled is just formalising stuff most of us home brew anyway
I am excited for the new books. I have already starting getting ideas for new characters and campaigns. I know that I could do much of the same thing with the current rules, but after 10 years of playing the game I needed this kick to reinvigorate my interest.
I'm certainly looking forward to them, especially the DM facing and campaign structural stuff like cleaned up magic items and bastion systems, the latter of which I've already had good experiences with from playtesting.
I wouldn't say excited but more like I'm along for the ride. There's better games out there but this is where the player base is at. I'm also curious about their potential video gamification of D&D - I would be interested in playing modules solo. Or even if it gets to the point I don't have to buy the books multiple times for different VTT's that would be a big savings.
I am excited to see and read them, but I will most likely not be buying or playing them. I am very happy with the current core 3 I have either fixed what bugs me or don't use what bugs me in 5e14.
I am very curious to see what they have changed and how they implement the changes.

CENSORSHIP IS THE TOOL OF COWARDS and WANNA BE TYRANTS.
I’m excited. Pre-ordered the digital here and print at my flgs. But I’ve been excited every time we’ve gotten a new edition or revision for about 40 years now. I get to learn a new game and play D&D at the same time. It’s a win-win.
I am happy about it. As for excitement and hype though, it is pretty muted based on the videos I have seen so far. I feel some excitement and hype, since we are getting new books, but I do not feel that much. Everything I have seen so far feels pretty samey to me.
Maybe I will feel more excited with the new DMG stuff if they introduce new optional rules and whatnot. The stuff from the new PHB feels like a lot of fun additional content, but nothing really game changing.
Not caught up on everything but I do like a lot of the class things I'm seeing. Like others here I would like to see the DMG in depth to really get a grasp on how different the game will feel overall. My issue is, even if I really like the 5.5 version and want to play it, it may be a long while before I have an opportunity; I'm playing in two campaigns and running my own and I don't see any of them converting (maybe a few features here and there but who knows), so it'll have to be a totally new game for me and that could take years.
i like DnD books and this is just another one of those. some things im hoping will be changed for the better like monk and others i didnt enjoy at all (divine smites nerf and rangers changes) other then that i just see this book like a list of options
What I have seen so far looks good. Mainly waiting to see how the D&D Beyond tools will work with everything.
thats a very good point id love for them to do a preview of the new stuff and how it works on DnD beyond. if it looks good id 100% preorder both physical and digital
I really like that they are addressing a lot of the more asked questions about certain spells in the spell description itself. That and most of the classes we have seen so far seem to be getting a good buff and polish. It is just cleaning up 5e from what I am seeing so far and it was needed. I call that a win for players and DMs.
I’m excited for it! I preordered the digital bundle and have kept up on all the online video releases, watching them live when I can, watching commentary when I can’t- simply because I like hearing someone else’s input where I might have missed something. lol I’m eager to dig into it and really see what all has officially changed, even beyond what we know from UA.

I am so hyped for full rules and a Dragonborn is the splash art for Aberration Subclass! I was really worried how much art they get
