Was taking a look at magic items. As part of my search I'd limited the sources to stuff I owned and 2014. So was surprised when I noticed some stuff with 2024 Free Rules as the source listed.
Doing a quick double-check, the description of the bracers is the same in both the Basic Rules and Free Rules. (I feel like I remember seeing legacy versions before; or am I going crazy?) I did notice the alchemy jug and alchemy jug are different entries, but they do have that difference between "use an action" and "use a magic action."
Mainly just asking here so I know what to expect in terms of functionality and how sources are listed.
I guess they're cleaning up the database because there's no point having a 2014 free version and 2024 free version if they're both exactly the same.
Same is true for the Cloak and Ring of Protection. There's probably others, I'm just too lazy to check. 🤣

The Bracers of Archery are a 2014 DMG Magic Item added to DDB and has been changed from the previous version
What has changed though?
Text is the same. Function is the same. It's still free for everyone to use.
Why should D&D Beyond have two different entries that are completely identical?

They removed the phrase, “on a ranged attack”, rules glitch incoming.
And by overwriting the 2014 basic rules, they are effectively shutting 2014 out and telling nobody about it until after it’s done, typical Wizbro style.
Future not looking so good, ……

For example the bracers of archery from this search showed up with 2024 when using the Basic Rules as the source and when doing a non-source-limited search there's only the one example that comes up.
