I am not quite sure this is the place to ask this specific question, but it didn't really fit under rules question or any specific class inquiry. So... Here I am...
The question is simple. I have been reading through spells and tinkering with RP application of them. I have stumbled across Phantasmal Force and the spell immediately caught my attention. Being a fully perceivable effect, with physical contact and all the sensory effects, that come with the created phantasm. While it has clear combat applications, I am more interested in the ability to create a phantasm of my character to distract a target. And here the problem arises, the spell lasts only for a minute.
And while I have searched far and wide, I cannot find any other illusion spell, that would have the same ability to fool a targets senses so fully. And while the spell can be cast with a higher spell slot, it has no effect on the duration or damage dealt by the spell itself. I also failed to find any way to extend a spell's duration, other than casting it anew. An option is a Glyph of Warding prepared with a second application of the spell, with the trigger being the first one running out. But that's a costly 500gp investment for a 2 minute duration.
Are there any means within the rules, with which the spell can be prolonged to last longer? Or is it purely up to GM to determine such?

Mirage Arcane comes to mind, though its terrain only
And a sorcerer with the Extend Spell metamagic can double its duration, both mirage and phantasmal force
