My son likes to get into my dice and ply with them, so to keep him out I let him choose 1 die to have. He of course chose a D4 and left it in the floor of his bedroom. I stepped on it while carrying him to bed. I could feel the flesh parting underneath my skin and halfway threw him onto the bed while I fell into the floor. I just wanted to share this with others who understood my pain.
I mean, a traditional shaped metal die is going to probably do worse damage and not get deformed under pressure. Which is exactly why I don't let my metal dice stay on the floor if they fall. They also live permanently in a jewelry box.
Human. Male. Possibly. Don't be a divider. My characters' backgrounds are written like instruction manuals rather than stories. My opinion and preferences don't mean you're wrong. I am 99.7603% convinced that the digital dice are messing with me. I roll high when nobody's looking and low when anyone else can see.🎲 “It's a bit early to be thinking about an epitaph. No?” will be my epitaph.
Because Mr. Cutler is also a huge D&D fan and likely had his share of d4s under foot. Only the brave and those with a high pain threshold use D&D dice.🤘🏻😝

I've definitely stepped on my fair share of dice, though not in many years. As a kid, I left them lying around. As an adult, they're inside my dice tray... which at the moment itself is on the floor, LOL... but out of the way and not in a place I'd likely step on it.

WOTC lies. We know that WOTC lies. WOTC knows that we know that WOTC lies. We know that WOTC knows that we know that WOTC lies. And still they lie.
Because of the above (a paraphrase from Orwell) I no longer post to the forums -- PM me if you need help or anything.

Laugh out loud!
I wish all of the dice-manufacturing companies would use the 12-sided die for the d4, repeating 1-2-3-4 three times around it.
Rolling a 12-sided d4 is easier to read too.
I have d4s like this, but they have Roman numerals. I wish it was just a standard normal d4 with normal numbers.
This has happened to me a few times. My players cannot seem to roll on the table, and they always fall off and roll under the table and chairs. I have stepped on more than my fair share of d4's while searching for them. I learned my lesson after about my third time and started wearing shoes during all D&D games.

Please check out my homebrew, I would appreciate feedback:
Sadly, it is too late to spare you the pain, but for future or for other households where younger member are fascinated by the "magic math rocks" I thought I would mention that if you look in an educational toy store you can often find oversized polyhedral dice that are made of foam. I don't know how well they roll, but they can be a popular gift for preschoolers who have become enamored of dice sets belonging to parents or older siblings. One friend even let his young son use them to roll for all the monsters when he was running.
I had a d4 fall on the floor during an in person game, and it blended into the carpet, and we all stopped to slowly search the floor like it was an active explosive on the ground. No one was leaving that d4 for later stepping!
I still have the scar on my foot, aye that's a day I won't forget.

REMEMBER: Wizards Of The Coast does not own DDB, they are two different companies. When you buy a physical book, WotC receives the money you bought it for, not DDB and vice versa. If you want a digital key to get an online book for free because you have the hardcopy book then DDB makes no money because you don't buy off DDB you buy off WotC, so please stop making threads about this issue. DDB needs money to continue helping people and servers aren't cheap.

That looks very child (and foot) unfriendly.
The triangle is the strongest, and most painful shape.
SAUCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can see the dice on the ring, but what was the lead up to this? WHY are there dice in a wrestling ring?

I so far have not yet stepped on a d4. I hope I will never have to.

"You take 1d4 piercing damage" - ouch!
More Interesting Lock Picking Rules
I almost wish it had pierced the flesh. I felt the meat under the skin part but not in a cutting manner. It was really unusual.
I know the feeling, why couldn't I have just been shot instead. Not this against the Genova code on inhumane damage.
I still remember the first time I stepped on a d4. I was in high school, and I hadn't cleaned my room in months. The pain is real.

It is funny how the 4-sideds are literally caltrops.

That showed up in my newsfeed and I of course, watched it.
I would much rather be dropped onto the normal thumbtacks.
