So I was browsing my content and know I didnt purchase this but I have the races from it. Was this given out for free with dnd beyond and what else did it include? I cant find it in the shop.
I bought my copy of the EEPC (Elemental Evil Player's Companion) before ordering my copy of the EGW (Explorer's Guide to Wildmount ),the critical role book for those who don't know, and I'm noticing a lot of stuff both the EGW, witch arrived first go figure, and the XGE (Xanathar's Guide to Everything) and I wondered if if this book has basically been made obsolete?

Thoughts everyone?
What do you mean bought? EEPC is free.
But yes, XGtE reprinted all the spells and EGtW reprinted the races, rendering EEPC essentially obsolete.
There’s a difference between obsolete and nonessential. EEPC Is nonessential of one already owns those other books, especially on this website.
It isn’t obsolete though because it’s free, and it also has the convenience of having all of that content in a single book. Those two things mean it is valuable to some folks. 🤷♂️

It's a free supplement: https://dnd.wizards.com/products/tabletop-games/rpg-products/player%E2%80%99s-companion
DDB includes any free content for... well... free.
This includes the basic rules, the SRD, and the EEPC. Active playtest and (certain) Critical Role content is also free to use.
Ah ok thank you
SRD is short for the Systems Reference Document, which Wizards of the Coast made available to free along with the Basic Rules.
We've wrapped them up together under the label of Basic Rules on D&D Beyond.

Well, Genasi haven't been reprinted anywhere else but other than that it's obsolete.
Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
Genasi are in the Wildmount book
She/Her Player and Dungeon Master
