while i like it overall and has some solid mechancics their are some problems
-theme and flavor where is it
-kinda feels like it work better as a blood hunter subclass and steps some toes with blood hunter
-it relies do much on the bloodied condition...which does not exist (also side note you have to be able to do deal solid damage for the subclass to be viable until 10th level which aint nice also why expend resources to hurt myself the loss of health is enough)
Bloodied was in 4e. I don’t know a single DM that still refers to anything as “bloodied” in 5e. In fact, most DMs I know crack jokes about players who ask if monsters are bloodied and roll their eyes at those players. 🤷♂️
🙄 I’m not here to debate this with you. Bloodied was a 4e thing, it’s not a 5e thing. If you want to use it, use it. But no, “most DMs” do not still use bloodied.
The issue with “bloodied” is that it encourages thinking in meta terms. A player asking about “bloodied” isn’t asking if something is covered in blood, they’re asking if that creature is at or below 50% of its Max HP. It’s gamey. That’s part of why they removed it from 5e.

1 HP of damage can cause that monster to bleed.

How would you know how low their HP are after a single dagger attack? That’s the gamey part.
