I want to add bonus cantrips to a subclass, that subvert the known cantrip limit for the class.
The problem is that DDB is counting these towards the limit, so they aren't actually extra cantrips, they're just the class's known cantrips with extra steps.
I have tried setting these as (not) known and/or (not) always prepared. It doesn't seem to make a difference. However, I still suspect this feature is possible because I've seen existing hombrew classes add cantrips to the character sheet without counting them towards cantrips known.
There's an option for "Counts as Known Spell" which should be set as No, "Consumes Spell Slot" and "Always Prepared" as Yes.
Once that's done make sure to save the spell, then the feature granting the spell, and then the subclass itself to make sure that the feature is fully saved correctly and the sublcass updates. It might then take a few mins after that to correctly update in the subclass, but that should be it sorted.

“Counts as Known” only matters for casters that learn limited numbers of spells (Bards, Rangers, Sorcerers, & Warlocks); “Always Prepared” only matters for casters that know lots of spells but can only prepare so many each day (Artificers, Clerics, Druids, Paladins & Wizards).
Setting the wrong one for the wrong classes won’t hurt anything (that I know of), but not setting the correct one will.

Please take a look at my homebrewed Spells, Magic Items, and Subclasses. Any feedback appreciated.
