Sorry, no answer here, but semi-related questions you may have an idea about: how do you code/design the different levels in the item so only the active ones work/display in DndBeyond? Do you have to just deisng all the things and choose not to use them? Edit the item every time it levels?

Any advice on creating leveling weapons? How do you estimate the power of each state to best reflect a player XP?
I've created the following weapon: https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/4569560-clawed-gauntlets-of-lightning and I am wondering when would be a good time to awaken it and exalt it.
Also, what do you think of that one?

You could edit the item every time it levels, or do as DDB did for the Vestiges of Divergence and create each level as its own separate magic item.
