Yes, it is essentially a modified circlet of blasting, but casts an upcasted (2nd level) ray of frost. The spell may need some tweaking given its level and utility, I feel like I might have made it a tad underpowered, but I often give my players the advantage so... it's not truly what I've come here to ask.
My question is this: my ring will not display a tooltip for the spell. My spell is public and published on DnD Beyond, yet the description still reads "Tooltip not found". The URL insert reads (without spaces) [spell ]Frigid Ray[ /spell]. Have I done something incorrectly? Or does this feature just not work?
Tooltips like [spell] [ /spell] only work for official spells/items/etc., not homebrew ones, since the system wouldn't know which Frigid Ray spell to link to.
There's a way to do a "fake" tooltip, someone else here would be able to explain how if you'd like. (It's a bit complicated.)

You're going to have to open the source code for the post/homebrew description box (it's the "</>" icon between the Quote and Paragraph buttons in the textbox editor) and type in the link manually.
Don't mind me, I'm just testing tooltips here. hawk

Well, it still seems to reference an external link so I can't share it with the community, however, it's clean enough and does link to the spell. Thank you!
Good afternoon.
I have a homebrew item Ring of the Frigid Wind, that allows one daily cast of a homebrew spell Frigid Ray.

Thanks in advance

Just remember that tooltips wont work on the character sheets anyway.
