Hey guys, not sure if I'd better post this in the bugs subforum or here.
Basically the title. I tried to create a feat for "the new" MotM Aarakocra, but as racial requirement I can only choose between "none" and "Aarakocra Legacy". An alternate solution would be to bundle the "Aarakocra MotM version" and "Aarakocra Legacy" for the purpose of feat requirements. Please add the support for racial feats for the "new" options, thanks.
Second, I tried to create subraces for "the new" MotM Aarakocra, but seems unlike for the "Aarakocra Legacy" this is not possible. Please add the possibility to add homebrew subclasses again for the new racial options from MotM, thanks.
WotC is specifically moving away from “subraces” and “variant” races making everything its own stand alone race. So I doubt they’ll add the ability to make subraces to any of the M3 races.
You can't create a Subrace for either the Legacy or MMM Aarakocra, but you can create Variants of both. (Assuming you own the particular version of the race, of course.)
Edit: Did you maybe mean Aasimar (the other AA race)? The legacy version of that had subraces. But again, you can always make a Variant of the non-legacy version.

Thanks for your replies. Well, that is basically a good thing to make variants instead of "sub"races - but when I create a variant it is then displayed in the builder bundled with the "old" Aarakocra and not the new MMM version, and this seems not to properly interact with the current dndbeyond tools (as stated, feats then only work for the "old" version which is not what I intend as I try to make a usable variant of the "new" Aarakocra.
Then don’t select the Aaracokra “Race Group.” That’s what attaches it to the old one, the new M3 versions don’t use the old Race Groups, which is why the feats don’t work with them.

As for the feats… 🤷♂️?
