I was wondering if anyone has figured out how to home brew dino people. I am currently running a Curse of Strahd campaign and one of my players triceratops was bitten by a werewolf. Instead of it becoming mad with lycanthropy or becoming a shifter. I thought it would be a cool idea that it morphs into a humanoid dino person during moon cycles. If anyone has any suggestions on how to better incorporate this idea or make a homebrew class, I'm all ears.
Its going to be a PC to play. My thought process to make it a conscious being and understanding that it must be the curse that turned it into a Humanoid.

Check out the Minotaur PC race then. It should be pretty trivial to reflavour it as a humanoid triceratops. Combo it with the Beast Barbarian class/subclass and you should be good to go.

In 3.5 & 4e the Forgotten realms actually had a Dino race (sort of). - the Saurials . You might look them up as a starting point.

Why not start with the current Ardling from the most recent UA? That’s essentially what you’re looking for I think.
